TVHM Serenity Waste Bug
Okay,... so the game's been out for quite some time, and honestly I'm just a tad bit annoyed that this bug was never addressed. My wife and I are stuck, just starting TVHM at the moonshot drop, where you are stuck in the air crate. Neither of us disable startup videos or anything like that, I have nothing in my launch properties, never touched the movies directory. And I've tried removing my O2 kit/everything.

Still this bug persists. This is literally game breaking as we can't continue beyond the first freaking story mission.

Has anyone else encountered this, or have a fix? Keeping in mind that once again, neither of us disable startup videos or anything like that, I have nothing in my launch properties, never touched the movies directory.

P.S. - This only happened once we started TVHM, it never did it before.

Pretty much you need to remove anything that gives O2 (including some shields and weapons), make a save right before going into the moonshot, and I mean quit and rejoin, not just try and have it crash. After you reload, it should work. If you remove the items then go immediately in, it crashes anyway (every time on TVHM AND UVHM you have to do this...half finished games...yay).

If you've modified any of the config files to skip movies then I found that will cause this to happen also. Restoring the config files worked for me.

OP mentioned in the post he did not modify any files.

Well, I'm sorry you're having a problem, and I hope you can find a workaround.

You should know though, this game is kind-of-sort-of an orphan.

While Gearbox (the IP owner) and 2K (the publisher) are both still going concerns, the game's actual developer was 2K Australia, which has since been disbanded. Gearbox never wanted to be directly involved in this project and it was all outsourced to 2K Australia. So... while Gearbox is technically the goto for bugs on this game, it's not really their original code, and you're likely to encounter some reticence in dealing with anything that isn't impacting a major percentage of the player base.

You might try checking with Gearbox support if the problem persists: https://gearboxsoftware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Damn, didn't really think that far into it. I have found, since then, a work around, but it required modifying the save file itself to have me save inside Janey's shack.

I appreciate all the information all the same :)

Thank you.

I've noticed the same bug on every start of any higher difficulty. I've always resolved it by simply exiting the game, starting it back up and then dropping back in, right before you get shot out of Helios. It's annoying, but it always worked this way for me.

Can't promise it to work in Co-op though, since until recently I've only played alone.
