discord push to talk doesnt work when this game is playing

Hello, some weird issue I have been hvaing, I tried just about everything I could do, I made discord run as an admin, tried discord PTB, and I even stopped running borderlands TPS as admin, however I still cannot use my push to talk button, does anyone have any suggestions?

well the thing is im not sure if its a discord issue or a game issue, because all the other borderlands games are fine with the push to talk besides this one.

Well, what key are you using for Push-to-Talk for Discord? Could it be conflicting with TPS's? Though I guess you've thought of that already right?

yup, ive also tried everything with discord too :/ not sure what one thing that causes this game not to work with it..

Tried using other keybinds for PTT? sometimes changing it to-and-fro with Discord makes it work.
Discord (for me at least) is awfully finnicky with games.

Hm. Only thing left I can think of to say is: this is why I'm glad I don't use PTT for Discord. If that's not an option for you, well... Should I ever try it out, encounter the same issue, and find a solution, I'll let you know.

Set the discord PTT button as a global hotkey so it works when you aren't tabbed into discord. I've never had issues with discord, teamspeak, mumble and the like with any of the Borderlands games. Maybe try using a different button that isn't set to do anything in game(if the first suggestion doesn't work, but do make sure it's a global hotkey).

I think I found how to set global hotkey: rather than using the keybind method under "Voice" of User Settings, go to "Keybinds" in User Settings and bind your hotkey there.

Really sounds like you broke something. I've never heard of anyone having issues between Borderlands games and Discord. Infact, most streamers and co-op players use discord(outside of in-game chat).

I know this is considered necromancy, but as this is the only thread on the issue that pops up on search engine i would like to add this: I had this same issue, and it ended up being my logitech mouse software trying to make a new profile. If you have mouse profiles, make sure you delete the profile it made for this game and it will use your global settings again.
