Game is stuck in controller controls

My game is stuck in controller mode (yes ive made sure one isnt connected) ive tried checking files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game etc and no luck. This is only a recent issue (last update or two) any help would be appreciated

Nope, thats whats so confusing even on fresh boots, reinstallinmg game etc no fixes. and was working fine before just all of a sudden became bugged after one of the last updates

Same here, not enough I have that constant flickering on overlays, but I dont even have a option to disable these annoying controller button icons everywhere.

Minimal effort "Controller Support [ ]" or switching between keyboard+mouse and controller

I am having this exact issue, has anyone found a fix? It makes the game unplayable if you're new. I can't even do the tutorial because of this issue, and it's extremely distracting even if I could.

EDIT: For whatever reason, having a razer gamepad plugged in forces the game to think there's a controller plugged in, regardless of what mode it's set to or how it's configured.

I have the same issue. Unplugging the gamepad reverts to keybindings, however in my case I have a situation where the menus auto-drift down the screen, and on the game world the view rotates left and down...it makes the game unplayable.

Well no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock lol. It's an easy temporary fix but still an issue. Also given that my orb weaver is how I typically play these sorts of game it's not ideal.

I left my comment in case someone else having this issue comes through and goes "Ah, didn't think of that" and can at least get by.

I had a similar issue., See if this helps. I noticed that even after removing the Xbox controller from my pc, Steam still showed it as being enabled. I had to go into the Steam folder and remove my controllers. I deleted anything in this folder. Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\34240141\config\controller_configs. Your folder 3424040141 will be different. The game now shows the keyboard when I go into settings.

the issue has continued since the posts up but now it just shows itself being in controller mode instead which is still annoying. only solution being to go to my device settings and disconnect any controllers there

The QA team extensively tested this issue but could not reproduce the problem. Have you checked if you have the same issue with a different controller? Are there any specific settings you set or change before connecting your controller?
