RGL texture lock crashes

Getting this at random running current 1.9 build, do not get this in any of the 1.8 builds, and have never had this error before. This crash happens regardless of whether I run with mods or not.

It more often occurs when transitioning to a scene such as entering a tavern, or weirdly when issuing orders in a battle.

Have performed all the fixes suggested via several searches (shaders, reinstall etc). None of which have made any difference. All drivers are up to date (tried rolling back the nvidia drivers a few versions and still no luck). I've got 32gb RAM and a 32gb swap on it's own SSD, game is installed on a seperate SSD. No overclocking.

Can play 1.8 without an issue, but with 1.9 I am getting this error between five and twenty minutes into a session, which would strongly suggest it is something in 1.9 that is causing it.

Please send us the documents starting with "rgl_log" and "rgl_log_errors" at "C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\logs" and your save file via our ticketing system.
