Game thinks im using a Controller

As the title says, the game thinks I am using a controller even though I am not. I have already tried Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers.
and then disabled/removed the HID-compatible game controller, but the game still thinks I'm using a controller. I also unplugged my controller. I have also removed all controller related software but the game still thinks I am using a controller can anyone help me with this. Other than waiting for the developer to add a choice between controller and keyboard in the options.

Yes i already restarted it and also my PC but it still doesnt work for me.

Same issue. For some reason, it thinks my Razor Huntsman V3 keyboard is a gamepad. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is an analog keyboard or something? It's very annoying. Every time I want to play this game, I have to go into "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers" and disable the "HID-compliant game controller" and then wait until my PC decides to disable it. Only then will it work.
