Quid?
I would suggest you go for warband first if you can bear with the graphics. Also Bannerlord feels way better when it comes to combat. In every other aspect beside that warband is a much more fleshed out experience for now and also comes with an huge collection of mods that basically turn it in 50 different games. Maybe im just nostalgic tho and everything feels dated but what holds you back when you own it already anyways.
If you decide to go for bannerlord instead be warned its in early access and you will eventually encounter bugs, crashes and missing features. Some more then others and using mods you pretty much agree that at one point your save gets corrupted :D BUT its still a great game and besides Warband the only one of its type that i know of. if its Warband or Bannerlord, you will have a blast for sure. Well, after figuring out the game mechanics.. :D
Both games have their bugs and (lack of) features.
Warband might be more stable and it should at least run better on any PC. At the same time the first game has UX from the stone age and nonexistent troop balance thanks to knights and mamlukes.
#relatable
warband is dirt cheap and there are god tier overhaul mods that can give you 100's of hours of fun or even 1000's.
but if you don't like installing mods then i would probably go bannerlord
Warband has some larger mods at present though if you care about that sort of thing. I don't think its fair to factor in mods, because both games should be judged as they are in their base state.
Someday Bannerlord will get finished to the point that the modding community can have at it in earnest and then there will be little reason to play the old game. Until then though, while Bannerlord offers improved graphics and more features it's a puddle of content in comparison to the ocean of its predecessor.
Basically, if you aren't horribly turned off by dated graphics, Warband is the winner because of the massive selection of overhaul mods. Also, it's cheap to try in comparison to see if you like the gameplay.
