Okay thank you. I am just wondering if its a waste of time to play in vanilla lol i have spent thousands of hours with m&b 1 long time ago. but ill give the vanilla a try. I think it would take lots of planning with vanilla which makes it more fun. Like where to buy cheaply your iron ore, wood for crafting.
And it's stable if you don't bork it up with a bunch of half-assed, poorly maintained mods.
I prefer the modded version.
Vanilla is good but it feels unfinished; lots of features, but none is really polished.
Mods brings some of this polish.
I use the Nexus to install my mods.
Here's my list:
- Improved garnisons
- Arena Overhaul
- Diplomacy
- Dismemberment (Plus)
- Better Troop HUD Updated
- Immersive Battlefields
- More Arenas
- Raise your Torch
- (RBM) Realistic Battle Mod - (With postures and Tournament module disabled)
- Auto Resolve Rebalanced
- Banner Fix
- Gain Trade XP
- LT_Nemesis
- Reinforcement System
- True Noble Opinion
You'll also need support mods:
- TrueControler
- Harmony
- UIExtenderEx
- ButterLib
- Mod Configuration Menu (MCM)
I've been playing with this list on 1.29 for many hours without a single crash.
I'm also currently testing:
- Surrender Tweaks
- Governors Handle Issues (Reloaded)
Did you install the beta version of the game ?
Most mods are made for v1.2.9.
I used Workshop mods before, and they worked fine; just make sure they match your version.
Nexus is more flexible since it can host multiple versions of the mods.
I use various mods now that make the game more replayable for me. Your mileage may vary.
