Been doing the circuit in Vlandia. Like 95% of the prizes are the same 500 denar kettle helms.

I got Horse with 90 riding skill requirement once, I also used to have an epic helmet and some gloves. The betting stuff is meh but sometimes interesting items are available. For me the greatest reward is to have a go at my companions in the ring and give em a good bashing!

I have recently managed a playthrough in which i systematically got a full set of lower to moderate range armour and a few decent weapons...but then started getting just helmets...more recently i seem to be getting a lot of helmets with the vary rare other piece or weapon. Oh yea, a few horses too, but mostly helmets...which isnt so bad, my lady companions like having bush potties, and enough pots to cater my entire army :)

I kicked one of my companions because he was trash. Always the first one to die in tournaments. Now I go to the tournament in that city purely so I can thrash him over and over again.

Initially i got a really good 2h/1h sword and the black heart axe (which is best weapon i have seen yet). Since they reduced the denar reward it hasnt been the best rewards.

Some decent enough stuff for my companions but usually just stuff you would use early on. Too bad, tourneys are fun and i still do them just for the fun.

Same, Tournaments would be a total waste of time if I didn't get 3.0 renown and .000000001% stat increase.

In my latest playthrough I got really lucky with the rng. I basically got decent gear for both me and my starting companions doing tournaments and everytime the reward would be different. (main branch)

for early game i got good stuff but now that im in the mid to late game its not so good for me.

only complaint i have though with the system though... each region seems to only prize out 2-3 types of items... empire all i keep seeing are helmets, sword or on rare occasion body armor.... either its just my ♥♥♥♥ luck in choosing / jumping in or the system doesnt have that much variety between different areas when it comes to prizes.

Mostly Tier 1 garbage stuff. Sometimes I get tier 4 stuff. But Tournaments aren't worth doing anymore.

The best reward you can get is a Destrier. One of the top 2 horse in the game.

I don't remember if it was from a tournament, or what, but very early in my current game I got my hands on a Rhomphalia, which is one of the best polearms in the game. It is very rare that I don't one hit whatever I swing it at.

Some rare items can only be acquired by winning tournaments. However, since devs nerfed the average reward price so those rare items are now nowhere to be found basiclly.

What a shame
