For those of you that don't understand
1.1.6 to 1.2.7 is more than half a year of updates finally come to stable branch. Yes beta has been updated regularly but stable, console, GoG, like 90% of users have been stuck on a super outdated version of the game for months and months and months. This is HUGE

"супер устаревшей версии игры" - 1,1,6 версия которая стабильно работала... после обновления, ошибки, вылеты. Полгода тестирования коту под хвост...
Я за обновления, но не делать их кривыми, что бы потом по нескольку раз выпускать исправления для них. А с учетом того что тестировали достаточно долго, можно было бы и не ошибаться так... :TheEmergency:

Okay, and who exactly are you telling this? No one asked?

Many threads are complaining about minor changes not realising ALL the changes are bundled now for those that weren't on beta.

Those who haven't played the v1.2.x beta from 6+ months ago and only played on v1.1.x, go read the changelog starting from v1.2.0, up to v1.2.6. All of that is on v1.2.7.

Of course, for those that have, yeah it's simply a very, very small update and the fact that it's stable branch now (until they do it again).

Thank you very much for the post. I just started playing the game like a month ago. (Unbelieve difference from warband) And my game always felt like something was off from some of the info videos I watch. Lol.. Makes sense I have to start a new game now.

Any ideas out there when we will see a version that doesn't need a restart?

:steamthis:you can play old version 1.1.6 (dont update your game)
you can play your campaign or sandbox game to the end.
then you can update to new main version and play a new campaign, if you want.

so the awnser to you question is: always ever forever, till the end of the world

So uh...do I just leave it (since it triggered a 15gb update automatically), or do I select 1.2.7-1.2.7 from the beta tab??

If you got a unmodded 1.1.6 save you should be able to fine keep play it with 1.2.7...

People wanted content, we didn't get content, we got bug fixes. I don't understand why it took so long to provide so little

You actually don't need to restart - it *should* be compatible, at least on vanilla save files. Mods may be a different story, you'll just need to wait and hope the modders update them to the current branch if you wanna play an old save with the new game features.

Alternatively, you can choose to play an older version of the game on steam if you'd rather have mods than the new features.

Being that delusional helps nobody. Do you think it helps the devs work faster by complaining about getting nothing regardless of what we get?

At least complain about real issues and make suggestions - we all know the campaign mechanics feel pretty empty still. But why pretend we're getting nothing?

Factually, you received both. A good portion of the content introduced in 1.2.0 is discussed here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z00RO6GuPIc&pp=ygVJZGV2ZWxvcG1lbnQgdXBkYXRlICMxMiB3ZWF0aGVyIHN5c3RlbSBmb3JtYXRpb24gdGFyZ2V0aW5nIGFuZCB3YXJlaG91c2VzIA%3D%3D

Subsequent 1.2.x beta patches added unto that both with clear additions (f.e. Admin Panel) as well as with significant gameplay changes to existing content (f.e. combat AI changes).

so.. is this why there were literally 2 total servers yesterday when I first got the game? I wanted to try multiplayer right out of the gates and went to the server list and literally 1 in the US and one in the EU that had people.

Or is that just multiplayer is dead?

I see 20k people playing the game are the majority just playing single player or is my version the cause for the lack of servers?

I ask because I refunded already just not interested in the game w/out an active multiplayer scene.

That explains 15gb
