Unlocking all the smithing parts
Good day,

just a quick question: how can I unlock all the smithing parts via a command or a mod? I'd like to experiment with all the possibilities and make a compendium.
Unfortunately the old console command doesn't work anymore (apparently since patch 1.6) and a mod that seems to be around applies only for new campaigns.
Getting expensive weapons in cheat mode and smelting them for an hour still doesn't unlock most of the parts, even with the smithing skill maxed.

Thanks in advance.

Well there was this mod that was working last I checked, though I wouldn't try it with the 1.8 beta: https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/82

Unfortunately the mod isn't compatible with the version 1.7.2 of Bannerlord.

What version? I usually just unlock them ALL legit.. but to do a test, I remember a few patches ago. (1.7.0 maybe)... that I did the "give myself the themaskeen weapon x 10 with cheat mode".. it unlocked some. So then I gave my self the top 5 weapons x10 over and over.. did that a few times (give me 50 smelt em all)... probably gave myself 150 weapons. It unlocked a lot.

Then used that loot to make the best stuff I could (making gives stuff too).. then smelted them. then kept going "as a person would normally on legit" and had all the unlocks pretty fast.

If there is a command to do it, I'm not aware. but the way you state at the end of your OP. PROBABLY would work 100%..... eventually.

But I found it easier to do it as I mentioned, and then just keep making more and more expensive stuff... it isn't perfect, but it works WAY faster than normal. and u can do it in under a half hour.. sitting in a town and rinse/repeat.

They changed it recently so that you have a higher chance of unlocking the parts of the weapon type that you are smelting/smithing. So if you go and buy (or cheat) 10 thamaskene 2 handers, and smelt them, like 90% of your unlocked pieces are going to be 2 handed sword parts. Same with pugios and tribesman throwing knives, you'll get a lot of dagger and knife parts.

Daggers are very cheap so smelting them doesn't provide many unlocks. I've tried to enable cheat mode, getting all the stacks of 10 of all the daggers and then I've smelted everything, however only half a dozen of parts were unlocked.

I've heard that the mod "Character Manager" available at https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/2382 could be used to unlock all the parts, I'll will give it a try.

Unfortunately both the ways provided by the Character Manager to unlock the parts don't work. Despite the version is up to date and it's listed as a feature.

I guess this is really annoying: such a majestic part of Bannerlord locked for no reason, the three mods that should have provided a fix either are out of date or simply don't work, developers have removed the console command long ago and now, even by using cheats, it's hard to unlock even half of the parts.

Just why...

This one 100% works in 1.7.2, i'm using it right now

obviously its a generic cheat mod, but all of the cheats are toggleable, and there's one to unlock all parts

Thank you!

The mod you suggest behaves interestingly: it doesn't unlock the parts, but it makes 'em temporairly available to the player until the cheat is activated, parts can still be unlocked while smithing, even if they show as already unlocked by the cheat contained in the mod. An acceptable workaround I'd say.
