I do not use mods on a Early Access game, cannot comment about them.

I have used Nexus for about a decade for other games, never had an issue.

I do not either but am super tempted bc I love Roman history and that mod looks fantastic. I wish the base game would of just went that route.

Either way, thank you for the input man!

I suggest checking the mod page on nexus. Generally if there are issues you can read about them there.

I personally love the mod. While they have stated they used purchased meshes the armours are beautiful, the units are interesting, and they are expanding it into other Roman-era factions such as the Gauls and the Dacians.

I think in time they plan on making an original map, but for now they intend on doing the factions. They are not aiming for 100% accuracy, but they are "modernising" these well-known empires for the 11th Century.

Really cool stuff and I love it. I love the Roman-era stuff so this will be a permanent mod in my collection.

Yeah I noticed the mod page for "virus check" said " some files scanned". While other mods are. Green check with no viruses. So has me kind of sketched if not all files are validated as clean

Yeah it looks great man. I just don't like how on nexus the page only said some files scanned as safe not all files checked. Kinda sketch

You can scan it all yourself. You can read the comments on the mod page and see if anyone is talking about 'bad' stuff. And you can bet that lots of players who downloaded it would be yelling up a storm if something was seriously wrong on redditt or somewhere else if that mod had a virus or other nasty surprise.

Yes, most mods on Nexus are safe most of the time. Just like everything else you download there is a chance its not safe, that includes games from Steam and anything else from anywhere in fact.

Yes, mods can and do break some games sometimes, but with a little thought and investigation you will find that you can lower the chance that happens by learning a bit about how mods and games work you will find that most games with mods will no longer break from simple game or mod updates.

You really should just read or watch some mod guides other players made to help gamers like you figure stuff out. Once you know the info its like riding a bike, easy to jump back on and go for a ride.

Like others have pointed out though, using mods on an early access title is more work than most players want to deal with.

Good luck have fun.

Nah, I'm talking about guides made to help players learn how to install mods & get them working. Many games have dedicated players who write up guides for the community.
Find them in the Steam Guides section, on Redditt, TaleWorlds Bannerlod Official Forums, or even make video guides via youTube or Twitch, etc.
As always, some guides are better than others, and may not cover everything one needs to know. But that's part of learning, try to avoid very old guides, unless the info is still good. :)

If you go to youTube and type in a search for "Bannerlord mod guide" you'll see a bunch of options.

It may feel daunting at first, but once you learn its as easy as a few clicks n' stuff and you'll be good to go.
