Where are cows?

I've been searching at every village, and every major city in my factions territory. And I've only found one. ONE DAMN COW! OUT OF SEVEN MAJOR CITIES AND EVERY SINGLE VILLAGE NEARBY!!

I have that one quest that requires you to get two cows. I'm about to abandon it, since looking for these bloody things is costing me more money than they plan to give me for them.

Where the heck are these things supposed to be common?

Try Sturgia. There are at least four villages producing cows, and most of the towns sell them.

(Hint: They are at the bottom of the trade list, just before the saddles.)

You can see cow icons, (and all resource icons), on the map even when zoomed out somewhat in 1.6.0. What version are you playing on?


By the way, the main reason to do these quests is not denars. It is to get standing with notables which will affect you the entire game.

Just because it is a cow village doesn't mean they currently have many. Those are your best places to find some (as well as whatever the closest town), but don't count on getting them all at once.

The quests for cows and sumpter horses come up fairly often, so the best thing to do is buy them whenever you see a decent amount for sale and stick them in your stash until you need them for the quest again.
