i dont see how there is "zero" innovation over warband though, at least not when we talk about vanilla warband which is what we should talking about when comparing games from a company.
not 10 years making this version of the game we have now, they first started making a game with the warband engine, then they completely scrapped that and made a new engine from scratch which took a whole lot of that time frame.
then they also spend time experimenting around with features which got scrapped too wich also took some of that time.
2. It a brand new, in-house engine. Bugs will happen.
3. M&B has always been grindy. It just feels worse at the moment because not everything is implemented.
4. Better hardware, maybe? Each patch, so far has improved my performance and combat is very smooth in Single Player. Some things to iron out but not a deal breaker.
5 & 6: Multiplayer has never been the focus in a M&B title. Some people played it but most opted for Single Player.
7 & 8. Too early for mod tools and map editors. Better to wait until the game has a more solid foundation before giving players those tools. Mods already break too easily as-is. Allowing players to create even more in-depth mods would make it worse because even miniscule changes that would otherwise not touch a mod are more likely to break them.
Go play something else that suits your wants until the game is released.
Hurt feelings

I have to agree. I have reached the same conclusion. After 2.5 months we have polish for 2 skill lines and quest fixes. If this is the pace of development, there will likely be nothing else added to the game.
And if you are willing to pay full price for an untested game-engine, after this many years...YOU are the reason games are getting released in this unfinished state and getting worse and worse from year to year. As long as the coin is rolling, why should they try to get something good out to the market ? reputation ? Isnt worth a penny in our actual period, so you just push out some crap, get some coin and move on. a negativ review is the only thing we can do, besides not buying this stuff anymore.
When is the time to be critical of a game? While its in EA or after release? People like you are the reason why games are ♥♥♥♥ now, and garbage like EA even exist. You just lap up whatever is sent your way without a critical thought in your head.
Get a grip. EA is the time to be critical and demand transparency, not after the game is already out, and not dependent on the available mods.
