Piercing Arrows or Stacked Steppe Arrows?
Piercing does 4 pierce dmg but comes in a stack of 23, Stacked Steppe does 2 Pierce but comes in a larger stack by ~10. With how damage is calculated would it better to go for piercing or for Steppe?

I believe depends on how much skirmishing you do, and if you can 1-shot headshot with second ones?
If you only use bow while skirmishing to cut range and then polearm ppl in the face, more damaging arrows are better ofc.
If you prefer to stay ranged as long as possible while doing headshots, then bigger stack is more attractive.

Compromise and get stacked bodkin.
Stacked Bodkins are generally considered the best bang for your buck.

i always take the 37 arrows.

there are perks increasing arrows but even then the 37 are better.

Yeah arrow damage isn't that big of a difference so it is best to go with stack size.

Gonna throw a curve ball: Tournament Arrows.

The 0 Blunt Damage means 100% capture rate. Get a strong bow and guarantee prisoners to sell.

This, In long battles if your primary weapon a bow two quivers of 37 arrows come in handy you still can run out like during offensive sieges forcing you to pickup enamy arrows some times.

If your using a bow for like secondary then maybe the extra damage during defence sieges tho arrow counts dont matter sense there is barrels filled with arrows you can refill your quivers with.

The real thing that matters is the bow a great bow will do wonders with any arrow type but the arrows are a bonus to it.

Bolts for crossbows do not show any piercing...maybe I am completely mistaken but crossbows were designed to pierce. Or is that secretly included somewhere?

I use stacked steppe
They deal some nice damage, plus, they look really good.

Not sure if the perks work (I'm sure they do, I think they can only hold like 30 by default) but I have 72 arrows on me...

I am a mounted machine gun!!!

Yeah I found that having so many arrows helps with bandit hideouts if they're heavily garrisoned. Especially with the price difference between Staacked Steppe and other arrows, I think Steppe > Other arrows.
