What are the highest profit items and where to find them?
I have about 8-10k in game currency and was wondering where are the highest profit items located and what town to sell them to. Only explored a portion of the map but so far velvet and furs seem to be high profit items. Only was able to find 1-2 velvets to resell though at a 200+ profit. Any idea where i can find a source of it for cheap?

I've google searched it and only warband articles come up.

The prices change over time. For instance if a town was recently seiged and conquered, goods and especially food are high profit items there even if they aren't the rest of the time.

most of the stuff is random generated and affected by wars/raids/sieges and mainly other caravans buying and selling. also production amounts are randomized for every campaign. you wont find a route that works all the time.

best way to make profit is global trading, because there will always be shortages of goods in one region and overproduction in others. fish from the coastal areas to the mountains, wood from mountains to the coast. horses from the south to the north, furs from north to south and so on

When you go into villages you are more likely to find cheaper costing materials to level up Trade faster... If you buy any shops you can artificially change which shops need those materials. If a city has a Silversmith you can sell Silver straight to them for a hefty profit as they keep using up the silver. Fur hides are pretty good being bought in bulk too from certain places too... 43 denars per 1 and you can buy a ton...
Prices fluxuate from demand. If a town has the materials in bulk they will value it alot less...
Remember you can also sell trade goods to villages too for potential profit too.

I've currently got 1.6 million in the bank and most of it has come from destroying enemy faction armies that completely outnumber me but are weak as hell. You capture a bunch of lords and as many high tier troops as you can hold, take all the loot and go to the nearest city to ransom the prisoners (I've made up to 30k with this) and sell the loot (made up to 90K), rinse and repeat.

Now I don't have to worry about losing money.

Could you give me a little more info on this? What does your army look like, and what size armies do you take on? I don't want to attack people with my 50 guys and get crushed, losing everything.

Many armies right now are filled to the brim with recruits.

But if you want to go a trade route: Steel/fine steel can go as high as 1k each, so win tourneys and melt the swords to sell the mats.

Tools/pottery/fur can all be bought low to middle, as in high demand cities they skyrocket to double price.

Clay is good to grab if its selling below 15-18, dont sell below 22.

Hardwood when collected in battanian cities can be as low as 11 denari, buy up till 25ish denari, do not sell below 30 denari, in high demand Ive seen it go up to 80 denari each.

Flax bought below 10 denari, sell above 14 denari.

Iron ore buy below 40 denari, sell above 55 denari.

Anything else if you see it low buy it, but dont stock up on it.

Hit up fiefs that sell the item you want, it wont always be low price but the fiefs will not inflate the price if you buy it. IE; I find Iron ore at a fief at 28 denari each, with 120 ore. If i buy all ore it will still be at 28 denari, unlike a town which after buy 120 the price wouldve risen to mid 40s.
If you're able to make your own swords, do that. Making higher and higher tiered stuff, you can sell a sword that goes for 8k easy.

Also upgrading to make the higher types of steel. You sell *one* T something steel and it usually goes for around 800-1200

I have seen grain selling to diathama for pretty high profit, but that might have been toward's mid-late game during war time. Was able to purchase grain from aserai's sanala/askar cheap for around 7-9 denar per grain and was able to sell for well more than double or even triple that, But overall I would say butter/cheese to aserai sells nicely normally, dates/olives to the north/eastern regions seem to make profit and wool/cotton to aserai seems decent. Hardwood to sanala from Battania sold well during my few trips. All i can think of off the top of my head.

Once you have about 10-15k saved up, head to Aserai and buy horses (desert horses for <110 or so and Aserai horses for <1k). Take your herd to Vlandia and you will double your money.

If you are smithing make greatswords to sell, they sell for 1.3k (even if they are utterly terrible) while 1 handed swords sell for about 150.

---- .

Thanks a lot!! Been flipping clay from Ocs Hall to Ostician for more than double the price. But now they won't buy or sell for as much... Haha

Thanks for the input guys; definitely gonna try the smelting route as i made my character have 3 focus points in blacksmithing.

As far as the other stuff goes; I agree i usually buy things in 50-100 stacks and flip em for a few gold each but because I buy so much bulk i still make out a couple grand. just I was helping a faction wage war (my first war i participated in so i was super excited but foolish) and lost my entire army and like 100 mules when an larger army showed up during a siege SMH FML.

As a result i lost a stupid amount of money and goods.

I will have to try the Aseri horse flipping though and selling them butter/cheese. Never tried that.

Also my army is too small to start capturing lords to ransom so that route is out.

Also has anyone here tried Caravaning? is it worth it, or is it better to try a workshop route?
I have a skill point in trade i can spend which makes one or the other 10% cheaper to produce i think.

top 5 items i know are very profitable. Pottery, oil, butter, horses, and leather. honerable mentions include silver and jewelry and furs and hides from sturgia, but are difficult to find deals in. im playing beta mode by the way

pottery is made in a variety of spots i should right a list where but im too lazy, buy at 50 or lower

oil where olives are grown, buying rates are around 35-45 and sell at 70 or better

butter and cheese is plentiful in the sturgian (blue) regions you can find a couple spots for 20>

horses from vlandia and the adjacent territories can have cheap horses also the asai(yellow) has desert horses that can be purchased cheap and sold to other regions for some times double price my list

sumpter horses and battanian ponies 50-70
midland palfry, sturgian trotters, desert horses 110>
these are starting buying prices fro these low end horses they are a good investment for a variety of reasons

last is leather shearly for the army of poachers quest, its a high priced, 150 average, commodity with ocs hall epicrotea as few good places to get that price or better typically

Selling food in places that just has been captured can net 300-400% profits.

yes selling consommable good in war ravaged region is profitable :d
i would say wine beer and butter are very profitable....but you need lot of mule.
and for pricy non consomable like pottery oil jewel velvet tool, you can earn lot money, and they are weightless, but they are often low in quantity too...

i made very profitable run on the road chaikand-maked-balthakand, quite good benefice for starting a game.
