Give dragon banner to kingdom or save it for your own?
Does it matter if you plan on eventually leaving your current kingdom to rule your own or should you just give it to that kingdom now to get the quest done? Does the banner actually do anything for the kingdom? (or your own kingdom?)

Thanks for any info :cozybethesda:

When I supported the southern empire, the empress thanked me and it was never mentioned again. I didn't get anything from it and I didn't even gain relationship with her. In the save where I started my own faction, I haven't seen any mention of the banner after making the new faction. I'm sure the banner will do something in the future, but that's basically the ending point of the story at this stage of early access.

I don't believe it does anything when you give it another faction - just makes their claim more legitimate in terms of RP, I guess. For yourself it gives you the option to form your own kingdom. That's really it for now.

Hi. I've conquered half the map with my own kingdom.

Aside from founding my own kingdom, the Dragon Banner hasn't come up again.

Has it changed with the release?
For example, can we give the banner but with the possibility of taking it back?
Or is it mainly meant to guide us in the steps to create our own kingdom or to pledge allegiance to an existing one, and nothing more?

The quest doesn't end halfway through any more. It now leads to a big scripted war (slightly differently for empire factions and barbarian kingdoms) and when you won it you get another cutscene similar to the start of the campaign and a summary screen.

Thanks! I will give the Main Quest another try.
And if I lose, is it game over? :steamsalty:
