Bannerlord map makes no sence.

warband map

The changes are massive. It should have taken many thousand if not millions of years for the changes to happen. Mountains have changed dramatically, cities have changed to. Rhotae is now Ichumur(not Dhirium as I thought and others). For instance Sunor(Suno) is now where Uxkhal should be. Vercheg(Wercheg) is where Alburq castle should be. Rivercheg gone despite being very important in lore. The Snowy lands are now Battanian forests.

Despite the difference I like the fact they are redoing lore as it was terrible. Despite the better map I think that it has lost importance. If you where in Warband each part is special you can know where you are even if your camera is close to the ground and a new player. But the Bannerlord parts all look similar and they are missing non mountinous lands.

The first and second maps where of completely different places. This map makes no sence in geography(Well except for map looks better this way). I'm amazed that they can make maps 255 kilmeters squared though very few will use it.(I am right in thinking that this will be scene editing space not world map).

Like someone said all anyone has seen is a closed alpha version. It for sure has changed in some ways, visible or not since then.

Happens often in Fantasy games tbh. Even Blizzards World of Warcraft changed the geography a bit from Warcraft 2/3. Or Fable 1,2,3.

Well, the bannerlord map is 4 times the size of the warband map, thats a massive increase. Also for the cities maybe some of them had a different name in bannerlords time periode and was renamed by the new owners or old owners after the years until the time of warband.

Also if you look at bannerlords map the green region is not as green as that from warband which means that the temperature must be higher than the temperature from warband times so the size of the snowie region will increase with falling temperatures until the time warband plays.

Yes but some of the cities have phiosicaly moved. And dosen't fit the lore. Suno(r) was very important(centre of Empire(just lost makes sence)) but now it's where uxkhal should be. Yes maybe the tempreature explains some of the geographical changes but look at the mountains it would take many more years in real life. (Yes I know this is just game devs changing map and I'm only saying this from a geographical point of view).

Cities moved significatly between M&B and Warband games as well. Did the game lose the lore? o.O

First of all: M&B is in fact a young franchise trying to find its footing and identity, so I think the developers have the right to do a bit of retconning.

Secondly, I'll be honest: I by far prefer the newer, much more vast map. It's long troubled me that a vast continent supposedly hosting six entire countries can be travelled across in about a week; records abound in history of people travelling at a consistent rate taking longer to get through a *single* country. Even this map is probably more merciful in this regard, but at least maybe this time it'll feel more like an actual continent than an island.

If what you're pointing out is the villages, I have to say that I have mixed feelings on those. I suppose I'd have to see how much distance is actually between them and how long they take before making my judgement. However, assuming the distance between each one is fairly substantial- enough that travel factors actually matter- I for one am very happy with such an abundance of settlements. Especially considering the numerous new features that open up for each.

But that was a different map
this is meant to be the same

Well considering that the years in bannerlord are 12 weeks/3 months then traveling is more resonable. Say 2 weeks from one end to another 6 weeks really but still weirdly short but games are made smaller.

Nope, both were Calradia in M&B and M&B:Warband.

Compare M&B map and M&B:Warband map. Map changed significantly. Swadia didnt even have sea access in M&B lol.

So what? You're complaining about getting more content and places to go?

Of all the things to ♥♥♥♥♥ about, you pick the extra details on the map? Seriously?

the new map is FOUR TIMES BIGGER so that should count for something

LOOK AT THE CHANGE FROM THE ORIGINAL MOUNT&BLADE TO WARBAND! That makes no sense.
