Like someone said all anyone has seen is a closed alpha version. It for sure has changed in some ways, visible or not since then.
Also if you look at bannerlords map the green region is not as green as that from warband which means that the temperature must be higher than the temperature from warband times so the size of the snowie region will increase with falling temperatures until the time warband plays.
Secondly, I'll be honest: I by far prefer the newer, much more vast map. It's long troubled me that a vast continent supposedly hosting six entire countries can be travelled across in about a week; records abound in history of people travelling at a consistent rate taking longer to get through a *single* country. Even this map is probably more merciful in this regard, but at least maybe this time it'll feel more like an actual continent than an island.
If what you're pointing out is the villages, I have to say that I have mixed feelings on those. I suppose I'd have to see how much distance is actually between them and how long they take before making my judgement. However, assuming the distance between each one is fairly substantial- enough that travel factors actually matter- I for one am very happy with such an abundance of settlements. Especially considering the numerous new features that open up for each.
this is meant to be the same
Compare M&B map and M&B:Warband map. Map changed significantly. Swadia didnt even have sea access in M&B lol.
