As Andi didn't give any information on his/her operation system I suppose it's windows.
I use Kubuntu 16.04 with Crossover 16 and have the same problem.

EDIT:
With Crossover 15.x the texts were there but green videos.
With Crossover 16 there were videos but no texts.
Both versions were running in a XP-Bottle (32-bit).
Now I changed the bottle to Windows 8 64-bit and it seems everything is working now.

Try deleting and reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, try using these fan improved subtitles. It includes fixes for both German and English text, and it may solve the problem:

I downloaded the fix but it didn't work, the words are still invisible. Thanks for your help though.

UPDATE! The hard drive in my computer gave out... so I got a different computer and it works fine. It may have been the hard drive the whole time but I'm not sure. Anyway, it works now. Thanks for everyone's help.
