I checked the dates in 4-6 weeks after release and the dates are
14th of January (4 weeks)
28th of January (6 weeks)
Teasers like photo's and etc will come in the start of January like they did with Ep1 and TWAU,I say stay tuned on their twitter (twitter.com/telltalegames) or in their website.
A) People who haven't bought either game yet and choose to do so when either second episode is out.
B) People who are playing the game on other platforms.
I don't see how one would affect the sale of the other. In most cases, players have already purchased a Season Pass, so Telltale already has their sales.
Anyone who is waiting for more episodes to release before picking either one up won't be doing so only after the second episode, they're waiting for more to be released because they don't like waiting in-between episodes. They're not going to pick it up when less than half of it is done. They'll be waiting until ep.4 or ep.5 or until significant discounts/sales.
And for anybody who only bought the first episode, do you really think they'll pass on one, just because the second episode of another game they're playing came out in the same month? If they enjoyed the first at all, they'll be in line waiting for the second.
Also, its not like these episodes take a long time to finish, they're no longer than a movie, so there's no reason someone wouldn't have time to play both in the same month.
