Clementine vs Lee?
Who do you guys feel is a better character to be playing as so far?
Clementine is small, can take advantage of her age, but is very vulnerable.
Lee was an adult and generally taken more seriously due to it. However, he did not gain as much sympathy as he was an adult.

Can't compare until I have all episodes of Season 2. Even then it's like comparing apples to oranges. They are meant to be different experiences. All I can say for now is that I had no worse time playing as Clem than I did as Lee. Infact, it was really refreshing to play as a young female child in a video game for once instead of macho adult male. Really cool to be interacting with characters from a different perspective!

I don't know, I mean Lee's story was just as much about Clem as it was about Lee. So we're already attached to Clem from the get go instead of having to find out what kind of person Lee is at the start of the first season. This may put bias into my opinion.

It's impossible to say for now. But I guess you can compare just the first episodes of both seasons directly. In which case, I feel this season had a stronger opening. Again though it has the advantage of having a lead character we are already very familiar with and attached to.

Im split with playing as Clementine. Its good and bad at some points. Sucks when you feel so useless but so realistic. Telltale does a good job.

Its a bit too soon to really say. But so far I like playing as Clem a lot more than I did playing as Lee, and I'm saying this is as guy who really liked Lee.

I don't know. However, Clem was pretty badass in the first episode of season two, nearly as badass as Lee was in the last episode of the first season.

Honestly? Lee.
When I was playing as Lee, I had no problem with Clem being a whiny kid who needed protection, and even if she made mistakes, you could save her, teach her, warn her...
But after playing as Clem, at least in the 1st episode, it seems like she learned nothing. She's still whiny, she makes stupid mistakes that you taught her not to do. It's like s1 never happened , and she remembers nothing but her attachment to these people.

My feelings are mixed. I really enjoyed playing as Lee for the most part. He was strong, stronger then almost anyone else in season one and he made the ultimate sacrifice in order to try and save a little girl. You have to respect that.

Clementine is weak by comparison. I don't mean that she's weak willed or anything. She actually seems really tough for an eleven year old kid, but she's still just a kid. More to the point, I am convinced, CONVINCED that she's going to come to a bad end at the end of the game just like Lee did.

There's a point in episode one right after the dog bites her where she's surrounded by walkers and is fainting. There's no way to get away, no one around, and the last character left from the first game, indeed, the very thing I tried so hard to protect, was going to die. I had to accept that and it wasn't a good feeling.

Of course things didn't end there, but that feeling stayed with me. Clementine is going to die. There, I said it. At least in season one I had hope, but look how that ended! Now I've got no hope for anything.

It's going to be a terrific struggle and lots and lots of people are going to die and nothing good is ever going to happen and the end is going to suck...but I'll keep playing because I care about Clem.

So no, I don't really like playing as Clementine, because I know only bad things will happen to her and I don't really want to see that. However, I'm utterly hooked, like a fish on a line.

Too early to tell, but it was good to see Clem showing them cabin morons who's boss. Bunch of weak-willed toadies

I don't know about her being weak. She took out several dangerous threats in melee, often bare handed. If you look back to season one, it actually took Lee multiple hits to kill some zombies as well. Their hand to hand combat skill actually seems fairly comparable.

I am not sure how that worked out, though maybe because Clem has a bit faster reaction time, and speed is more useful to dealing with threats than strength. After all, if you hit someone in the head with a hammer they are going down regardless of how strong you are.

It's far too early to tell, but I'm enjoying playing as Clem a lot more than I thought I would.

Clem, hands down. She's tough as nails, fights like a banshee and cashes the checks she writes. What I really love is how she checks things out, it's all in the facial animations that tells you more about her than a wall of text would.
I hope she lives through season2 and we get to continue with teenage-Clem in season3. Then we really start taking names and kicking ass because bubblegum has become scarce.

Clemmy isn't weak at all.

The most obvious comparison would be Newt from Aliens - a screamer but years younger. Clem has shown she's not helpless, and this ep has just added to the impression that she's toughening up and becoming more independent.

I can see her slowly turning into a kid version of Andrea from Kirkman's comic strip. She'll be the toughest killer of the lot. Something to think about though - she's about ten now, and will have some new problems and changes to deal with soon.

I stand by my statement. When I was playing as Lee I felt strong. When I play as Clem I feel much weaker. This isn't intended as disrespect in any way, shape, or form. She's one tough little kid.

The feeling that she's going to come to a bad end haunts me as I play and everything just feels that much more desperate and hopeless. Do any of you really think that the game is going to end on anything even remotely resembling a positive note? Especially considering how the last one did?
Le_Jéan Dec 20, 2013 @ 1:54am
I prefer Lee but let's see what Clem has up her sleeves first.

As of this point, Lee. Mostly because we got to interact with Clem though, lol.
