PC specs?

Try lowering settings, start with anti-aliasing.

game was fine for me.

Intel i7, nvidia 460m, 8gb ram, and yes my drivers are updated. never had a problem with a game, must be using the intergrated card and not the nvidia one

Season 1 had this issue on some machines. While it is possible that PC specs are beneath the needed amount in some cases, this was a widely known issue on TTG's end.

@Pow WoW

I was not aware of that, but it would make sense... especially if you are getting decent performance in other games.

What was your fps in season 1 like? and what were your video options set at?

I did some searching on that gpu, but did not turn up much.

I really have no idea when it comes to laptops.

It was just with some builds. I think it had to do with some video card conflicts or some such. I only sorta remember the issue from back then.

From what I have been reading, there are a few things you should maybe check out... to help eliminate a possible cause.

Make sure the laptop is not running in power saving mode. (balanced seems to be recommended over power/powersaving also.)

Close any unused applications.

Run temp monitoring software, like RealTemp to monitor both your cpu and gpu temps while gaming... after quitting the game check the app to see the max temp obtained. to make sure the gpu is not getting too hot.

Something like Nvidia Inspector should also let you monitor the gpu fan speed aswell. (just DON'T touch any of the overclocking options).

It doesn't seem to matter what settings I have it on. The problem is with the game not my laptop. Season 1 had NO problems ever at any point. the frame rate always makes it so my mouse cursor is slow to move. 20fps is not fun

The only thing that runs smooth on this game is the main menu T_T

hmm... I doubt it, but your laptop is not switching to like 1080/24p is it?

that will cause a massive slowdown.

I don't think it would happen on a laptop, but I use a large television as my monitor, and rarely some games the television will change modes.. im not sure why, the solution in my case is to create a custom resolution and select that in the game, like 1919x1080.

That is the last thing I can think of.

Get the game to use the NVIDIA. NVIDIA Control Panel - 3D Settings - Add a profile for TWDS2 exe file - Set to use the 'high performance NVIDIA processor'
