June 2024 Update - Graphics Update and Balance Changes

The June 2024 Update is one of our bigger updates! The latest build will feature these new changes!

Graphic Update

We've updated the game's graphics to give our beloved Arbiters greater fidelity and cleaner look!

Balance changes

There have been some balance changes in preparation for the coming tournament.

Hand-held Grenade Launcher
Damage reduced to 60 from 70
Effective Range reduced to 25 from 30
bullet speed reduced to 30 from 50

Hand-held Gatling Gun
Bullet speed increased to 80 from 70
Fire Speed slightly increased

Hand-held Submachinegun
Bullet speed increased to 50 from 35

Plasma Slicer
Damage increased to 100 from 60

Back-mounted Mortar
Damage increased to 90 from 80

Back-mounted Homing Missiles
Cooldown reduced to 8 from 10s

Bug Fixes

Several bugs were fixed in this patch:
1. Online Lobby Game Flow was streamlined to deal with disconnect issues.
2. Local Couch Play issues were fixed.
3. Fixed a visual bug for VS Screen in Arcade with Arbiters facing Backwards

May 2024 Monthly Update Patch Notes

May 25, 2024

This is a small balance update. Bigger optimizations and features are still in the pipeline. Hopefully by June, we will see the improvements to the online experience.

Until then, here are the updates to expect in the latest build.

New Feature

Time limit setup for Multiplayer Matches

Players can now set a time limit on their multiplayer matches. The player with more armor at the end of the time limit wins.

Bug Fixes/ Player Experience Adjustments

Lessen the tracking power of hand grenade launcher
Equipped internals have been made visible in multiplayer lobby
Fix combo multiplier on dagger and fist weapons' last hit
Updated Weapon Icons for Customization Information

May Updates + April Monthly Tournament Winners

Welcome, Arbiters! The Mecha Blitz Open Beta continues into May. Here are our upcoming events:

May Development Goals

The focus of our development for the month is the streamlining of the online experience and the patching of graphic and information bugs, particularly for parts and equipment. Weapons will also be further balanced and patched after data collected from the tournament.

The Open Beta Patch 3 will focus on addressing these concerns.

April Monthly Tournament Winners

After an intense battle, 3 victors have emerged from our April Monthly Community Tournament.
Congratulations to our returning champion Mikusim and the two challengers, MK and Shadowfaxx!

The Champion was given a Steam Giftcard, and all three winners will receive an in-game reward code for the full launch of the game!

The May Monthly Tournament Approaches!

We will be having the next online Mecha Blitz Monthly tournament on Saturday May 25th, 6PM UTC+8. Once again, this tournament will be open to all players of the Mecha Blitz Open Beta. Prizes will be announced in the following weeks.

3 Rounds, Best 2 out of 3 Set Matches
2-minute build adjustment between Matches
Map voting

Requirements:
1. Must be a member of our Discord Community.
2. Must have downloaded latest Open Beta Demo Build of Mecha Blitz.
3. Must have a Mecha blitz email account registered.
4. Players must have loadouts ready prior to each match.
5. Players must check in on Toornament and with the organizers on our Discord Community before 5PM
6. 5 minute calltime during your matches to be contacted on discord by organizer.

Smells like early alpha

The controls to shoot or slash do not work, at least in arcade mode. Requiring the player to register an account just to get to the main menu is annoying and unwanted. I suspect this game is a mobile port.
