which is why neither of us said it should be brain dead easy.
Between waves I had basically no time to develop more than the most necessary buildings and few units. Spaceship? What, no, you orbital guys don't get my attention. Robo factory? Yeah right, when am I going to get 450 spare effort so that I can divide my effort even further between projects?
Also, I never understood how the captain works. Don't know which unit that even is, let alone how to use the special abilities.
maybe a care bear mode or something?

The goo activity works very similar to TaB zombies, except you should consider the entire map as 'infested' and anywhere outside of your thumper range they can pop up out of the ground based on how much noise your squads are making.
