Xbox One Controller Support?

Seems like only 1/2 of the buttons work. No B, no right analog-stick.
Controller is updated & worked on every other game, inlcuding Assassins Creed 1, 2 & Black Flag.
Can anyone help please?
The keybord with right-click to sprint is pain in the $$$.

Works fine for me, just been being playing with an Xbox One controller.
Game has native support Have you tried disabling the steam specific Xbox controller support in Steam/settings/controller/general Controller settings? It might be interfering with the native controller support.

Yes, I tried every possible constellation in the Steam-Options - helped nothing.
The controller itself is fine, every else game I play get full support.

Hello BierBanditin, thank you for posting about your Xbox controller issues with the game.

In the games official system requirements it says that any Windows compatible controller should work with the game, so in this case a Microsoft Xbox controller should work -

Could you please follow the below steps, to help resolve the game recognising the controller input -

- If you are using any other type of wireless/bluetooth controller, please try using this with a powered USB connection, instead of wirelessly

- Please make sure to open the games 'properties' menu, and select the controller input option, before launching the game

- Please also make sure to select 'controller' in the games 'customize controls' menu when in-game

- Please also disable any other game launchers from running in the background, that may be interfering with Steam recognising the controller

Please let me know whet happens after trying these 4 steps.

Funfact: The support for AC1+2 is gone also now. :D Looks like Ubisoft dont support their older games anymore.
What means, I stopped support them too & didnt buy the new stuff.

Thank you for getting back to us with the result of the steps advised regarding your controller issue.

In addition, in the Steam controller settings, could you verify if ticking /unticking the line ''Xbox Configuration Support'' changed anything for you in game. We've had some reports from Players mentioning this as a workaround for the same type of issue.

Ok I tried that but it did not make a difference sadly. I have been using kbm (ugh) until this issue is resolved.

I can share logs if possible. Don't know how to do that. Also, don't know if this helps but these controller keys seem buggy:

RS and RT functions are reversed
Y and B functions are reversed

I'm trying my best to fix those keys but no luck

Nope. Didnt work for me. It also laggy & unplayable, when I launch it with Uplay.
Also talked to the support there. Answer: You could play with Keyboard & Mouse.

This seems like a simple issue but we need someone knowledgable to look into the .ini files and correct the poorly mapped keys...

bonjour, j'ai testé la solution qui consiste à désactiver l'assistance du configurateur xbox dans les parametres du controlleur steam et elle a fonctionné pour moi (je suis sous W11 et j'ai une manette xbox filaire) - une fois la manette reconnue j'ai tenté de relancer le jeu en ayant réactivé l'assistance mais cela a conduit à ce que la manette soit désactivée de nouveau : il faut donc laisser l'assistance désactivée en permanence si l'on veut jouer à ce jeu avec une manette

hello, I tested the solution which is to disable the xbox configurator support in the settings of the steam controller and it worked for me (I am under W11 and I have a wired xbox controller) - once the controller was recognized I tried to restart the game having reactivated the support but this led to the controller being disabled again: it is therefore necessary to leave the assistance permanently disabled if you want to play this game with a controller

Within Steam, in the controls setting, you shoud find a line called ''Xbox Configuration Support''. Could you make sure this line is unticked when lauching your game?

Um okay...so what's the equivalent setting for Ubisoft Connect? How do I disable "xbox configuration support" in there?

Thank you for your message. I can confirm you would only be able to find the ''Xbox Configuration Support'' within Steam controls settings. These settings cannot be found on Ubisoft Connect launcher.

To be able to try this workaround you will have to launch your game via Steam. Let us know if this workaround worked for you!

I didn t find anything about it in ubisoft connect
My game launches with steam and a check of my ubisoft connect account
You can find the settings in controller settings on steam and uncheck xbox configuration support
