Maybe I was just very unlucky having this expierence. For me it was buggy as hell.
I didn't find it to be more buggy than other Ubisoft PC ports.
i didn't find the experience that interesting to be honest, after Unity came out i lost my love for the series, so i never got around to playing it twice.
Did you tried out Assassin's Creed Origins? It's a cool new start for the series
I've been trying to get back on that bandwagon and find my interest to keep going. what kept it going previously was the Ezio and Desmond stories until that ended, after that it became less interesting when you're playing an anonymous character on some Templar VR service studying assassin DNA memories. However Black Flag had its moment.
I until i can find my way back to it and enjoy it all again, buying origins even at £40 (and i'm lucky to make £30-£35 on the end of year sale) means that it's just a waste of time and money getting it. i also haven't played rogue or syndicate yet.
IMO Revelations and III are the best of the ones I've played so far. They were both so good that after finishing them (having played for months) I could have easily started the next game in the series immedietly, and only didn't just because I have tons of other games and want to play SOMETHING other than AC.
IMO the worst (of the ones I've played so far) are Bloodlines and Liberation, and even they are pretty good, only "weak" by the series' amazingly high standards.
Both because they take me a few months to play through, and I'm so far behind, and because 3 was starting to feel a little buggy (even though 99% of it I loved) I'd not mind always taking 2 years between 'em.
I kind of wonder about the framing device...like obviously 1 through 3 (i.e. the first 6 games lol) the Desmond framing device was pretty cool, but even that started wearing thin. I like the idea, but I'm not sure how to keep that going.
I wouldn't mind a modern day one either, entirely without the framing device (or heck, framed from the future or something).
I don't know, but whatever, so far I love the series.
As an PC/Console Game I think it lacks in content and so I think its "okay". not bad, not good. just okay. and for the price of 8€ (thats the price I have at my nearest store) its fair.
I agree with you!
