Crashes when running on opensuse leap, no sound when forcing use of steam runtime.
I've tried this game a few times for my kids but everytime I come back to it, I seem to have a new problem. To avoid whatever problem is stopping the game starting at all under the host runtimes, I've pointed to game to use the steam linux runtime. However, when doing this I then get no sound. I've checked the pulseaudio list-clients and there's no presence there.

I've followed the pointers in the post from https://steamcommunity.com/app/260160/discussions/search/?q=linux+sound&gidforum=558754259604805831&include_deleted=1 .

relevant lines in Player.log output seem to be repeated as i've tried changing the sound settings in the game;

FMOD failed to initialize ... Error initializing output device.
...
(Filename: Line: 198)
...
(Filename: Line: 319)
...
DSP connection error. Couldn't find the DSP unit specified.

any pointers?

thanks
Matt

Tracked down the problem to a known issue with unity3d engine which the game uses. To fix you need to set launch options to ;

LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" %command%

No starting with linux runtime, just native libraries.
