Update: Patch has officially moved to ModDB

Your download may fail if your antivirus protection is too strong, simply because the patch is an executable file (exe).

If you are playing for the first time, install just the Basic patch, Plus will modify the game from the original release.

Anyways, it'd still be better to have the patch in a more known hosting service like Google or MEGA.

So being the addict I am, I bought myself a copy on GoG- hunting down a disc seemed a cool way to get the disc case on my shelf but I can make my own this way- so in terms of the patch being pre-built into the game how does that work? I love all the extra restored/other stuff and want to make sure prior to starting a new game (since I'm playing on an earlier patch via Steam) that it's all enabled... also you add the console enable command via the launcher, right?

Sidenote: Whoever gets money for sales for VTM:B really owes Wesp.

The basic version of the Unofficial Patch is preapplied to your GOG copy's folder. If you wish to see the restored cut content and extra features - you'll need to download the latest version of the Unofficial Patch and reapply it onto your GOG copy (ticking the box for Plus content).

After downloading the patch, it'll say in the installer whether you want to install the basic or plus version.

A site just can't give you a virus like that, unless you open and run something. And no: the patch and the site are perfectly safe... and have been used by users on this hub for many many years.

I played the game for the first time with Candidate 3 patch... Still confusing as hell because there are no explanations for these Candidates and patch 10.0 (they are all listed as being uploaded in the same day). So here is the big question... which patch was I supposed to install?
Also where is the uninstaller for the patch located... please tell me it came with an uninstall wizard right?

Hey!

The latest version is UP v10.0 RC 3. Here is the download link: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647/7/74915/download

As for uninstalling... deleting the UP is as easy as deleting the Unofficial Patch subfolder from your main game folder (it installs itself into this subfolder so all the modloader-compatible mods work nicely alongside each other).

i can't seem to start up the unofficial patched version from steam. when i add the desktop shortcut the UP installer created the game starts the original steam version without the patch. when i use the same shortcut but on my desktop instead of through steam it starts the patched version

Do the following, and then launch it from the Steam library:

- right-click on “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines” in your Steam library
- select Properties
- on the General tab, click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."
- type in (with no space beforehand):-game Unofficial_Patch
- then click "OK”

Hey, did the latest patch remove some of the improvements? I just downloaded it because (suddenly) I can't access my UP version, but when I try to launch the game I see improved graphics (meaning the resolution is correct) but the red blood cells on the game menu are gone, as well as the History option for character creation (which I need to do because all my saves are just gone). Did something go wrong and I'm not patched, or is this one a downgrade?
