I can't download the unofficial patch. Can someone upload??

The unofficial patch version 10 was released recently but I simply cannot download it. Every time I try my web browser just stops and says the connection was reset and I get a blank white page.

For the record I'm trying to down load from here. http://patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647/7/74914

I'm pretty sure that's the official site he uses to host the patch. All of my browser plug ins are disabled but it just doesn't work. Does anyone mind uploading this patch to Google or Megadrive or whatever.

I did but the description said "Get it as usual from the official homepage The Patches Scrolls, linked here on the right."

also my virus tool goes nuts when i click something on the ptaches scrolls

yeah how did you download the patch over there ?

all i can find on modbd is a news article that links back to the patches scrolls

Yep I found that one as well. I guess they just haven't uploaded it to modDB yet or either me and you are both blind.

I also get all kinds of warning messages on Patches Scrolls as well. "ding ding ding threat detected".

I did try disabling all of that and clearing my cache but it made no difference, the download still won't start.

The 10.0 patch is in testing, that's why you only see "contender 1/2/3" there, and the Dev of it has mentioned that they work and he'll be releasing 10.0 soon, so I'm using 9.9 from modDB until 10.0 is released there

I'm not sure how much the plus adds as I never played the game before. I did install the 9.9 patch as well as the plus content. The only thing I clicked off for the plus content was the new clans/skills thing whatever that was. Figured I'd just use the base skills in case I got confused as to what is what because all the regular stuff would probably be easier to read about using Google.

I think the only thing that got added with plus for me was better looking eyes and animal forms as well as some cut quest content.

If I were you I'd either just roll basic or use the plus and disable the extra clans or skills thing.

And as for the plus patch: the plus patch adds A LOT. We're talking gameplay tweaks, new disciplines, new quests, restored cut content and more.

I *highly* recommend playing basic for your first playthrough, and then doing a malkavian run with the plus patch installed to get the most out of your VTMB experience.

lol thats exactly what i plan to do XD

so far the game is a blast to play

just a little bit dusty in terms of ui and quick weapon/skill selection but either way its awesome :D

I installed the patch and it created a desktop icon to launch the game from instead of from steam. Is that normal?

Yes. You can either launch it from there, or the Steam library. But if you plan to launch it from the Steam library, you need to do this first:
- right-click on “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines” in your Steam library
- select Properties
- on the General tab, click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."
- type in (with no space beforehand):-game Unofficial_Patch
- then click "OK”

yeah thas normal :D

like lucky said you just have to add a line if you want to start the patched version via steam
its a matter of seconds ;)
