There seems to be an influx of Game problems and windows 8.
Are you using Windows 8 By any chance?

Windows 7 Home Premuim.

Computers spec-ish I guess:
Proccesor:Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50 GHz
RAM:8.00 GB
System Type:64-bit Operating System

I have the same problem. It's quite frustrating.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? I've had to restart twice already. After about five/ten minutes into the game it just freezes. I have to shut down the entire computer just to move on.

Find \steamapps\common\Majesty Gold Edition\Majesty\Data\MusicTracks.txt
Delete all 5 tracks. Save file.
Right click on Majesty:HD select Launch Majesty Northern Expansion.
Helps me from freezing.
[Win7, 64x] [No ingame music, all other sounds work]

Yes, of course.

There are only 5 tracks in original game. ))) This is lame. Great music, but annoying.

Just download some Majesty and Majesty 2 music and play it at background. So I did. :3

I have windows XP and the game keeps crashing at start, both normal and the expansion.
Luckly i bought it with the HD version which is working fine.
