Why is this year's version cheaper than last years?
Is it going to have less content? Now I'm not sure if I should be buying this one or the 2023 version...

Maybe watch the trailers....... Create a team, AI teams can suddenly take your drivers if their mood is bad, the possibility to simulate races and more. So no, not less content

It's very likely that 23 sold less than 22.
The first game was a new release in the franchise and was much cheaper than 23.
My guess...

Given how horrific this looks with motion blur they better remove that horrible ♥♥♥♥ if they want to sell more copies because I'm convinced that will put a lot of people off.

Usually that's an option in settings.

Pretty sure '23 tanked in sales performance. Not sure how many more years Frontier have to fulfill their contract with the license but this may be the last one. Might as well try to drive sales with a lowered price point up front.

It has like 16x the content lol. I'd buy this one given that it has not completely terrible team ai (i dunno about the track tho) and new team mode. Also has early driver development and not exclusively reserve drivers.

im guessing the experiment of making 23 a AAA priced game blew up in their face. This franchise shouldn't be more than $50CAD, and if the F1 license is too costly, then a management franchise will always be doomed to fail.

Combination of what's been said already, plus the crazy initial development costs highlighted in their annual shareholder posts have already been accounted for in previous EOY P/L. It allows them to reduce costs this time round to sell more units and make the barrier to entry for people on the fence whether to buy it more appealing. Plus obviously with hope of renewing the license which runs out next year.

You have to remember Frontier 2 years share price was 3600, now even after a good spurt it's still around the 250. They need to shift large numbers of this game to get shareholders back on side.
