By a back marker?
Maybe you should stop lying, and stop being a sore loser?
I've played enough of this game to know this never happens unless you have no idea what you're doing at all, which looks like you don't.
You have not played enough then. It happens all the time were a back marker will suddenly decide to race your car that's just out of the pits, and be 2 seconds faster out of nowhere. Or the known issue since the first game, which is if you pass under blue flags a lapped car will fight to overtake you again almost instantly.. Or the new bug with lapped cars ignoring blue flags completely.
Just because you are ignorant of the issues does not mean they do not exist.
The mechanics are broken, but we all know that low affinity, especially if you created your team which makes it bottom out, makes it that confidence hits rock bottom super fast, maybe it was that.
I've also seen some cars struggle to overtake (for no reason -> bad mechanic), but once they finally get to overtake you, then they can finally outpace you.
it's first season with Stake so of course the car is ♥♥♥♥ but sometimes when for exemple Ocon overtake Bottas they are batteling like for 1 lap or 2 and then even if my confidence is in the same zone, there is a sudden drop of pace.
I was just wondering if it's a bug or just a problem of realism
Your drivers dont drive their laps at laser accuracy lap-Times. 1 lap your driver could go a 1.24.4, next lap he does a 1.24.8. Thats already 0.4 seconds.
The dirty air stat, you drive in front, clean air, you get overtaken, dirty air, another 0.1, 0.2 or whatever your stats get you less.
Your drivers Defens stat. There is a check going on in the background that checks your defense stat against the other overtake stat AND how much faster the other car is. Sometimes, the other driver just dont succeed at this check and you get shown a faster car not able to overtake, but, as soon as it overtakes, just doing its normal laptime.
Same in reverse, a slower car behind you gets drs, gets to do an overtake check, their overtake stat against your defense stat modified by how much worse their car is and, despite low chances, succeeds. The animation will trigger that will show you visually that success.
And THEN aftzer the overtake, the other car immediately engages their ERS on Deploy and push settings on fuel and Driving style. So your driver maybe has a streak of doing lower limit laps, plus dirty air, plus other car accellerates 1,3 seconds a lap through usage of ERS, fuel and Driving style usage.
Do the math, you 0.4 seconds slower then you could, 0.2 seconds from dirty air and 1.3 seconds from other car on full Push mode. nearly 2 seconds difference...
I think there are some more factors then only those, but, you get the picture i guess.
Some People forget its all code and Math in the background, not REAL people driving...
Yes, thats a bug, its a rare bug, but, i have seen that myself.
