What settings to lower graphics card load?
I run lots of other AAA games that don't run at max GPU temp. Running a 3070, and all settings (medium, high, ultra) and all filtering settings max out my GPU temp at all times, even low visual action. Any advice to lower temps?

use v-ysnc and cap your refresh rate for the game otherwise it'll just use every bit of your GPU. somebody said there's an ini file you can also edit to reduce the frame rate but i can't remember the specifics. and of cos something like afterburner to UNDERclock your GPU if temps are getting really high, which is what i did with my old 1070.

Keep V-sync on in your global Nvidia control panel and set your monitor option to it's highest rate within control panel. So if your monitor is 144Hz then that's your frame rate.

Wouldn't the OP need to lower the frame rate to something like 85fps which is more than enough for this type of game? no need for 144fps if the GPU is hitting high temps. thanks for mentioning it tho, just realised i can cap the frame rate in nvidia software (what was called geforce experience) so i assume that works on the 3070 as well instead of messing about editing ini files.

Thank you, this definitely fixed it. Sitting at a cool 45C instead of 75C

Yep make your own fps cap in control panel via a slider.
i only mentioned it because I have a 120,144,165Hz monitor and having an RTX 4060 the fans barely come on -if at all. Unless it’s intensive like cyberpunk. So I generally stick FreeSync on for smooth as butter frame rate, with ultra latency.
Even with FreeSync off cap it at what you want and make a profile for this (or other) game(s) rather than using the global option in nvidia.
