computer shutting down after playing f1 manager
Lately, I've been having issues with my F1 Manager where sometimes the game simply freezes and my computer shuts down. I wanted to know if anyone knows how to solve this.

I've already replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the entire computer, but my computer still shuts down after playing F1 Manager for a while. This only happens with F1 Manager no other game causes my computer to shut down.

my pc specs
Win 10
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 2.30GHz
GPU: AMD RX 5700 XT 8 GB
16 GB RAM
SSD and HDD

most likely because of the denuvo DRM, but do you have HW monitor installed so you can track temps of your components in case something is overheating.

i've had the same problem (just with this game, same as you) and even underclocking doesn't help. i'm sure you know your CPU isn't ideal for gaming but here are some things that helped me a bit...

1. have a capped frame rate, apparently the game will just get greedy for resources if you don't
2. the game/DRM HATES it if you have been playing videos before launching. netflix, porn, youtube, etc. it just hates it even if you've shut them down beforehand
3. streaming music in the background has been a problem for me
4. launching immediately after a reboot causes me problems even though that should be the ideal time to launch. waiting five mins and the game is less likely to crash

I have notized my GPU getting so frickin hot playing this game. It gets so hot inside PC cabinet from the GPU heating the entire thing. I have to open the cabinet sidedoor to let heat out. Might be a overheating problem for you too.
only outlet fan I have is from the cpu radiator with 2 fans configured in push-pull. But that isnt enough to get the heat out of the cabinet with this game. Dont have that problem in other games.

The game has no FPS limiter without V-Sync and just generates as much Frames as it can ALL THE TIME. VSync sets it at whatever Frequency your Monitor has. Most likely 100 or 144.
So, even with V-Sync, the game Tries to generate 100 or 144 FPS, which isnt needed.
There is a confid file you can edit to set a FPS limit, jus google it.

I have set it to 72 FPS and my GPU went from always at 99% to 40% in Menus and 70-80% in Race, saves heat generated.

Then the Anti-Alias setting to low or med. high and Ultra is like 8x or 16x AA, which doesnt generate meaningfull better Quality but saved like 10% ressources needed.

If your GPU or CPU is constantly powering at full Throttle and the Ventilation isnt good enough to Vent all that Heat away, CPUs and some GPUs have safety measures to shut down at certain Temperatures to save it from, well, melting it.

If all that doesnt help, more and better Fans and HOW you let the air flow through your Machine is important.
You need as much Fan Airflow that goes an as goes out. To much in, air gets Trapped inside, heat goes up, the Airflow gets killed.
To much out, not enough in, not as bud but still bad for the Airflow.
Airflow always from Bootom/Fron to the Back upwards.

i have a 7800 x3d from AMD cpu
Radeon 6700 RX
and 8 Fans in my Rig.
in the Summer with 35 Celsius romm Temp, the Temp of my GPU and CPU goes still up to a bit under 80 Celsius.

Is the AMD Adrenalin software useful?

yeah the problem is that I don't have time to see how hot the PC is before it shuts down.

Thanks, I'll try what you said

Yes, my problem was solved by just turning on the game's vsync and downloading the graphics which stopped turning off the computer to the point that now I can even watch videos at the same time
Frodo Jan 13 @ 5:57am
Oh, so the vsync work on this version? It did nothing in F1M 23
i having a random freeze that completely froze my computer and unable to click or troubleshoot other then moving my mouse or force power off button

i kinda notice the network affected my game or browser surfing or streaming while this game freeze mid game or randomly

my pc specs
Win 11
CPU: AMD R9 3900X
GPU: 3080 TI FTW3

I don't know what it could be, I think you'd better open a new discussion like I did reporting your problem
