disk write error

my game wont load up, i have verified on steam that the files are safe, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and when it gets to 99% download it says 'disk write error'. i play on PC, there is no disk. what is going on?

disk is the hdd, that's what i am pretty sure this message refers to.... ...just as a verify if you have another hdd/ssd on the machine try installing there...

Same. The disk is a new SSD, 2TB Samsung EVO. I read somewhere that in the log you can find which file doesn't want to be written. However, my games stuck for updates giving this error are Quake Champions and Delta Force (beta). Cyberpunk updates well so far, though very slowly.

when i reinstall the game, it quarantines files which prevents it from fully installing.

ok i have had same prob, my avg anti virus removes the main file to run game,so i have too tell avg that it not a threat and put back the file, after which game runs as normal.

Sounds like an over zealous antivirus software to me..
