Skipping Practice
Hi. I'm trying to find a way to skip practice sessions. It's not the 'simulate' option, because I assume the AI still makes your drivers race during it. I just want to spare my car parts after I already prepared my cars/drivers without having to watch the unnecessary session, as it gets tiresome after a while. Is it possible?

i myself do not watch practice, there should be an option to go straight to qually, so by passing all practice. There should be an option to Qually or race, where then you can simulate or manage either. I hope thats helpful.

ok i rechecked game, before practice you set up your car as usual, after that you, you click on go to practice, then while in practice menu you will see on the left side of screen, the options to manage or simulate, ignore them and just select the options on the right simulate to qually or race, just click on which one you would like there. good luck.

you can only Simulate, giving the Ai control doing setups and sending cars on track and using Tires or do the Sessions yourself.

If you want to spare your parts and stuff best you can do is using a Database editor to get the 100% setups, sending your car on Hard tires with 80Kg fuel out to drive the whole session to get the Track XP, then sending your car on meds with 70Kg Fuel to drive untill 100% Track xp and then dont drive in T3 while letting it run at 16X Speed while doing something else.

Thats the least use of parts for getting all 100%. When simulating you dont get 100% setup, maybe you dont even get 100% Track Xp.

Thanks for your quick reply! When I select to go to qualifying it says that all practice sessions will be simulated, which probably means that my cars/drivers will race on all three and degrade my car parts on the process. I'll test more later, but unfortunately the game doesn't seem to have an option to really skip practice.

Yeah, I usually do that, just let P3 run at 16x while doing something else, but the next update should fix that, if I can just cut P3 entirely from my seasons. Thanks for your reply!

Not a good idea to skip practice. FF through it yes but skipping it and the AI will start doing strange things to your tire allocation / setup.
