Maybe??? It would be pretty dumb, but I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that the team itself is stored in a saved games file, cuz that's not actually that hard to edit even if they don't put it in the game. Wait no, I just remembered you can play against your own team while playing a irl team it's definitely not in a saved games file and maybe might be harder to change manually.
I reckon that if you can't change the name, someone will able to make some kind of mod that makes it possible.
so we should be able to
Last game was a little harder to edit an actual team file that contains the data with the name and livery and stuff (the stuff like the driver or engineers are stored in the save file, so it's much easier to edit), but with the need to make a new team with a new name and logo and livery and stuff, the custom team will probably use a system that is actually intended to be changed and updated, which makes renaming and modding a lot easier. Idk if they'll set up the same system for the rest of the teams, but if they do it would be infinitely easier to have a program like the database editor do it.
