ghosting
settings ultra. I don't know its a design shoice or a artifact but in game when the cars are on track. In some camera shots. The car seems to be "ghosting"? it has a trail either in the back or front. what setting does cause this?

That will be lens flare or.. ermm I forget the name, something to do with motion, a lot of fps games have it. Motion blur I think it's called

It’s motion blur, which is very strong in this game. With all the health warnings at the beginning of the game, if they turned it off it might make people even more sick.

No way to turn it off, motion blur is part of post processing, lower that setting alittle. It’s all that we can do.

It can be a bit distracting, but it's the least of the game's issues.

yes but i don't see any option "motion blur"

ah yes health warnings , they exist since i played in the 90'. If somebody does have a condition, they will now by now. No need to say it every time a start a game.

Normally if you get sick "anything" you do. you will stop a moment. No need to tell us.
Do you know how many times ppl get sich by just eating.
and how many ppl die by eating (choking, overeating, diseases)
you will be suprised, its a few millions more than dying from playing video games.

and i don't even get a disclaimer when i order chicken...

I get what you're saying, but not everyone that games is 40+ years old.

If you got some kid that's new to gaming I'd argue the health notices are at least informational to the point that they are made aware something could happen and some action should be taken.

I remember when I was a kid I'd play video games for so long I'd be mentally exhausted and useless. I did an 8-hr stint of The Legend of Zelda: OOT as an example.

Shoot. When I started gaming at 6 games didn't have that information. It was logos and then title animation/screen. The warnings thing didn't really start, that I remember, until around the end of the PS2, start of the PS3 era, and even then I think it was only in certain games.

You should try the "Maximal Graphic Preset" on the overtake website.

You can choose,

Ghosting is when faint trails or "afterimages" follow moving objects, usually caused by slow pixel response time or bad frame syncing.

Motion Blur is an intentional visual effect that simulates the blur you see when objects move fast, making movement look smoother and more natural.

Ghosting is a common Unreal Engine problem. To prevent or try to preventing ghosting motion blur is taken :)
