Future Gauntlet DLCs

I got to thinking about the earnable capes from the colosseum mode and their seasonal availability. Since anyone can earn them it's only a matter of skill and time that gets you your set. But what if you miss a few that season? I assume those capes are forever lost to you which is a shame. How would everyone feel if the seasonal capes remained earnable each season for free, but once retired they could be purchased as DLC for, say, a few dollars but would include a new cosmetic item or two to entice buying it despite the ones you already have? And what about the preorder items you might have missed? How about a preorder DLC bundle that includes all that content as well? Some other companies have been known to do that sort of bundle. I know I'd drop some money to get those few weapons I missed.
