Connection Issues

Never able to connect to other PCs even in my own home. We get connection timed out. It use to work, back in December we connected and played. But now it does not work. The PCs are Windows 8, on a wired network (not wireless). We have turned off virus protection and turned off fire walls to see if anything was blocking the connection. We can see each other online, but the invite does not work.

The game is still filled with bugs, minor and some about line frequency,you can clearly see it from the mobs speed. They look that sometimes they charge you at full speed but they are not, it is a connection issue.
There are some key bugs,wall bugs and so on.
Developers dont look like they care about this game anymore, that is why,together with the game longevity, people moved away from this title at the moment.
I can assure you that you are not the only one that is having connection issues on the game, but you will get used to it.
If your problems as you are stating, are about a local lan connection, you should check if the wall ports are well linked and they are working well with,for example,other games.
Sometimes downloading affects the line b ut you already know that.
You can check on pc setting to allow the game to pass through the firewall if you have a floor router which links different floor ports, or in the modem setup unlock the ports that you need to use for it.
Beside this,to link this to what i previously said, if the "invite" doesnt work, it is their server fault and you cannot do something to make it work well.

I think I recall having trouble with one of the invite or join features, but the other ones I tried with friends worked. I don't remember what it was that didn't work, but you can try inviting from the game itself, inviting from Steam, or joining from Steam (without an invite).

Oh yes definetly :) thanks for saying so it came back to my mind. people can also join from your profile to your run from your profile on the right. (join match) so you dont need to invite someone if you have some line issues :)

I have a connection issue, in that every time I launch the game I lose connection to Steam entirelu.
