What were you guys thinking releaseing this with that statement and no real setup for gamepads? Seriously, we have to go download peripheral xbox controller emulator programs and install them to the gauntlet directory because you guys couldn't be bothered to do it?

After 2 hours of trying I've found no way to get a simple, super common logitch dual action to work with gauntlet. We shouldn't have to be struggling with user-end workarounds (and failing) for a game that says it's best played with a game pad up front.

Are you guys insane?

Well, I agree that this is a problem. However, there are much simpler programs out there that just convert all controller input to XInput. Unfortunately, I don't have the link saved anymore, but I don't remember it being too hard to find.

I have Logitech gamepad and it works super perfectly. So yes, there is a gamepad support, just in some cases it fails. Will be fixed for sure.

having to get a third party driver to get a gamepad to work is pretty common with any game.

anyways its easy to download a controller emulator and really is not that big of a hassle.

prolly because windows makes sure to have correct drivers for xbox controllers since xbox is microsoft.

good way to encourage using xbox controller over ps3 or other competetors i would assume

ive never been able to simply plug and play with a ps3 controller on my pc for any game

PS4 has native support in Windows, but most games don't even support that anymore. Some do, but for the most part games are starting to support xbox controllers and call it good.

I have a really cheap controller and had no problems at all. So saying there is no controller support is wrong. You've just been unlucky.

Wow, like almost every game released in the past.. what, 10 years? shocking.
When I had a ghetto controller i used x360ce or xpadder, depending on the age of the game.
and for ps3 controllers use motioninjoy.

Can someone tell me how to play with a gamepad once you have selected mouse+keyborad at the first launch ? It seems there's not controler options... And it seems there are still people in the world who think the only keyboards existing are qwerty ones... Wake up! We are in 2014 ! Not in 1974.

As far as I kown, you can't assign or bind keys in the game. So you have to change your language in the Windows settings and select an english keyboard BEFORE launching the game to play correctly.

If you already have a supported controller connected when the game starts up, it should show the controller/keyboard option screen before the main menu. If it doesn't show that screen, you probably need to use one of the 360 controller emulators.

I second this. My Exeq Battlegear is not recognized by this game. Have got to use x360ce
