Valk, a quick Guide.
So, I solo'ed my way past normal, and skipped to Unfair (The hard gear looks really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and unlocking Unfair also unlocks Hard)

So here is my quick How to guide for playing the Valk.

1. Shield - Best ability in the game, bar none. Her Shift shield legs her kill skeletons (small ones) and reflect ranged attacks back at their owners (you can sit there, hold shift, walk away and come back an hour later. it is how all the insanly high Valk scores get up there.) You can knock back almost everything else too, even the exploding mummies can be shielded against.

2. Shield throw - learn to aim this and you can clear a summoning stone wave in 1 throw, and hit the stone at least once. The main trick is aim so it can bounce a lot, then right click dash and change the retune angle so it passes over a high health target or the summoning stone again.

3. Spear dash - Right click, dash forward, and it automatically blocks if you haven't thrown your shield. With good timing you can reflect ranged attacked, and stop damage. The only down side is if you get hit from behind while preping, it cancles the dash. You also cannot be hurt during the ending animation in case you end up just on the edge of the spikes.

4. Going solo - The hardest thing are the summoning stones. They take forever to kill on Unfair, and spawn faster than your shield throw recharges if you don't have high enough mastery. Play smart and you can solo every boss. The damage reduction is stupid good as well, once you get beat up enough to earn it.

Down sides -

1. Damage - Your right click and shield throw murder almost anything, but your left click basic attack is low damage. the best use is to pick off small packs while you wait for your throw to come back up.

2. Melee - You can't sit back and kite while earning kills like either of the ranged classes so you need to play smarter.

3. Aiming the lunge - It takes a lot of practice to aim her lunge. The hit box is tiny, and when you stop, someone can hit you. If you are quick enough, you can hit shift, and block the attack before it hits you but it takes a lot of practice.

You don't have to time your block at the end of a lunge. Just hold down block and the shield will be up ASAP. You should make an actual guide guide :D, because this thread is going to get burried real fast!

Can you do a Youtube video for # 2? I use the shield throw to boomarang in a circle but I'm not sure what the "use dash to retune the angle" thing means.

For #3 so if Valkyrie dashes without having her shield, that's why she takes a tonne of damage?

If you use your shield when lunging, it also cancels the ending animation so you can lunge again with just the starting animation in between.

Guide to unfair with ANY character --SIREN'S LUTE-- Easily the best relic in the game that can carry you if you save them for certain spots on unfair.

That's what I was referring to.

Great post, one things I suggest are saying Relics. Here is my setup:
Boots of Ranadam: Makes her normal attack much better, especially when dealing with stones.
Chaos Amulet/Firetrail Boots: I mainly use Chaos Amulet, because it can get enemies off your back for a little while, but Firetrail boots is good, too.

Ring of Mirrors is very good on valkyrie maxed out. The illusions constantly attack with her spear lunge which pierces through most mobs while killing them in one hit. does great damage on spawnpoints since the lunge does good damage to begin with.

The shield throw works sort of like wizard's chain lightning, it's as if the game checks if there are more enemies in a certain angle & range. if you aim it correctly when enemies have appeared around a spawner it'll do a full circle.
