I'm part of the Gauntlet team!
I'm sorry you're experiencing technical difficulties with the game. Would you mind sharing with us some info about your computer (software and hardware)? This will be very valuable information for our techs! Thank you!
-Felicia (Gauntlet Team)
Felicia I have an i7 Toshiba Satellite that I bought 2 weeks ago and this game runs rough on the lowest settings, But my machine runs left for dead 2, starcraft 2, diablo 3, perfectly fine on their low/medium settings.
How do you change controls? How come this wasn't implemented?
Hello!
If you are not able to interact with some parts of game menus using a controller please use a mouse for those sections. You should be able to switch between your mouse and your controller freely when playing. Please note that Steam currently only supports the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, the Xbox 360 Wired Controller, and the Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710. If you are trying to use a different type of controller for Steam or Gauntlet it may not work correctly.

I'm retarded. Intel, Windows 8.1, 4 GB of RAM (Yeah) with a Pentium(?) processor. The computer isn't outstanding by any means, but I don't have many issues with many games, I'd assume I could run this game at the minimal graphical settings at an acceptable framerate. My version of 'acceptable' is at least like 20 FPS. My game lags that bad. I feel so bad, my friend preordered the game for me, wanting me to play it with him, but I can't play for jack when the game runs at what seems to be 8 FPS.
Exact same here. I love Gauntlet and was so excited for this, but the game doesn't run for anything on my computer. It runs games with graphics thats eem more advanced, so I guess that's why I'm confused as to why it doesn't work here.
mess around with this file, mainly look for particle, bloom, shadow and AA settings to disable. you should probably leave lighting = true on though, it makes some areas unplayable if you set it to false. gl
I just looked over it and changed some settings that I would have assumed would effect performance, but it still performs the same. I appreciate your answer, though. At least someone can offer some constructive input.
And since this thread was about performance enhancing config edits, and I couldn't seem to find any that really noticably effected performance, I'm gonna unsub the discussion. Thanks again, though. I do appreciate it.
