Valkyrie shield throw ??

Hi,

can anybody explain the valkyrie shield throw skill please? (space bar skill)
Sometimes it flies in a circle through the room hitting many mobs and sometimes it only flies in a straight line in front of me hitting 1 mob??

anybody can explain this? How can I control it?

It probably works like the wizard's chain lightning, in that it is mostly random and uncontrollable, but you can kind of set it up to hit multiple enemies by lining them up just right.

You have to aim it at the nearest mob within range. If you're using Keyboard controls, your mouse arrow has to be in the direction of the target you're trying to hit, and the more enemies in proximity to the target, the more hits you'll get out of it.

This game is really much better played with a controller. Aiming with the mouse is deceiving because you're facing one direction but you attack in a different direction because your crosshairs aren't in the direction your character is facing. It's frustrating. Gamepad control eliminates that.
