And nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
Ahh me too! I had started with the Arcade machines but once they migrated to consoles I was so happy. I wouldn't have to shell out quarters like a slot machine anymore! I honestly think Gauntlet 4 did the RPG aspect much better than Dark Legacy. Don't get me wrong, Dark Legacy was fun but I don't classify it as a Gauntlet game...it was waaay to easy.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. Hopefully as it gets closer to launch we can see some genuine gameplay and get a better picture of it. So far it looks likes sticking with the older games is a better choice.
Arcade 4 player version is stil my #1 but for home console Gauntlet 4 wins hands down the N64 version that the later versions were based on was good but it didn't have that Guantlet arcade feel.
You got my attention with your reply Lucifer.
Did the arcade machine save your profile or was there a card (transferable NEO GEO style?) that you used... 'cause that sounds awesome.
Btw LIMB: we may be older now and we lived through the birth of gaming til today. We have been blessed!!! :-P but Life is getting better for us gamers... wouldnt change any thing of my real life gaming profile! ;-) IDDQD
Yes, Santiago! I believe we have the privilege to witness gaming birth Cosmo. It's been a fun ride ;)
