Best Gauntlet Game?

My all time favorite was Gauntlet Dark Legacy, sure it hasn't aged well but it has a ton of outfits and unlockable characters, the announcer and music was great, and the multiplayer was a blast.

Gauntlet 1 arcade is by far the best. you could build up your character on one credit. I hope the devs realise this when making this.

Took the booster pack to make the dang thing work for 4 players, but we got a lot of mileage out of that game.

I too loved Gauntlet Legends on the Nintendo 64.

The arcade version I used to play it every time i used the ferry to get from vancouver to victoria. I probably spent hundreds of dollars on that thing

I loved both the classic first one like a thousand years ago, and also the PSX Legends version I played years later.

One difference between this game and Gauntlet Dark Legacy is that you'll have to purchase those unlockable characters and weapons.. DLC forthcoming I'm sure, just look at the pre-order bonus..

yep, I remember playing Gauntlet I and II back in the mid 80s. Hours of fun!
Glad to see this remake in the works. already purchased my 4-pack ^^

I'd rather buy a full priced game and unlock characters by playing the game than buy them as DLC :(

I hate the way companies do DLC nowadays.

I grinded the hell outta Gauntlet Dark Legacy when they ported it to gamecube, probably one of the best games ever, this looks pretty awful, probably charge me ingame currency for being Pojo, just port Dark Legacy to Steam, il grind that bad boy all over again.

The games i played MOST were gauntlet legends (basically a reboot of gauntlet 64 for arcade/dreamcast) and dark legacy (which i still own for gamecube). but i cant honestly say that i prefer one over the other, the newer ones look nice, but the chaos and fun of the original is unmatched

I cannot agree more. Running dragon over and over again and using the gold to buy stats had a 999 character within two hours though. the game was way more fun until i thought about the gold and did the math

Gauntlet Legends N64, 100% completion. Good times.

Going to have to agree had the most fun with Legacy, as I spent countless hours on the arcade version and PS2 with friends.
