Are you trolling I take it? It's hardly what "ALL OF US PAID for" when you have loads of people complaining about it not being what they paid for.
I personally love the new skills, more options for each class; more varied playstyles in conjunction with talismans and relics.
Saying the game got nerfed though... Boy are you honestly rather incorrect somewhat. The difficulties are slightly modified for the new changes, but altogether the game is still as difficult, since the Unfair diffiicullty was removed, but the difficulty was then changed for each difficulty based on that.
I like how we can see people's names under their characters, it helps to differentiate who's who, especially if you're playing with friends and are in a call or something.
The camera's great, more like how it was in the original, you could never see far ahead of you, resulting in times when you'd run form enemies only to get finished off by something offscreen, requiring you to be more cautious. It really made it different from Diablo and this change honestly does fit well. Though when the camera locks to a room, it does get hard to see corners sometimes.
The Hub in my opinion wasn't really all that good. Not really even needed either. I mean, you could go ot the merchant and it acted liek a lobby, but before you already load into a lobby, and this way it allows players to get into the action sooner with one less area the game has to load and you can back out of hte campaign map witohut a loading screen.
With the hub, you TOTALLY would need to go through a loading screen despite the actual game itself not technically starting.
It was just a menu, not even a real area that had any actual significance in the game itself. I'm glad it's gone.
You complain about death darkenning the level, and yes it is a complaint, think about it for a second. Before all that really happaned, was everything went teal and that was it. Now it goes dark purple and it makes it a challenge. When it comes to Death, I have a rule. Never fight with him on-screen, and it works very well. Following it, I never die on a Death level, unless everything else does it usually due to me scrubbing it up.
I like it, it makes it more intense and more necessary to simply wait for him to go away before doing anything. You can still see while he's out, just a little bit less.
The Camera zoom hasn't changed at all. All that's happened... is the way it moves with your character and in rooms. Literally all that's going down. Calm your tits.
The game always was an endless hunt for useless gold. The only way to fix this would be to spend it on something that you can always spend on. I'd imagine if there was a way to buy a passive boost for a class or all classes, and it'd likely involve gold bonuses (like a special passive that boosts gold drop chance from props, and it'd cost alot and each upgrade would increase the chance by 1% starting from 0%).
Like... endless hunt for useless gold? That's literally every RPG ever. I'm not even kidding, storylines and campaigns aside and also gear hunts aside... That's 100% of all RPG games. Gold eventually becomes unspendable. Not many games have the systems in place to remedy this.
Max spawned enemies hasn't realyl changed either. I've found no actual difference with it.
The Menu Music is not any different and navigation's the same as before, minus the ability to press a button and switch control devices like that.
The Necromancer's not too much different, I have noticed it's more difficult to spawn skeletons, but other than that, it's not unplayable.
I don't know about you... but you can mix and match armor sets still. There never was any pants, gloves or boots cosmetics, and even if there were, it wouldn't matter since you'd hardly see them at all.
For the "ugly weapons" Well... same thing. The game has always been so zoomed out that the only reason there ever was to get the armors and cosmetics was for bragging rights, which... well skill is the ultimate indicator of bragging rights and the need to beat levels on higher difficulties to unlock each item was likely removed to fit this idea.
I'm not sure how you guys can be... well this special, but... Masteries haven't been removed. In any way, shape or form. you can find them at the main menu it's... Like how do you not see the word "MASTERIES" on the main menu which is almost jsut under "Local Game"
Like... no offense but that last point about the Masteries makes me think that you're just a troll who doesn't know how to space post lines out so they're easier to read, which even though I highly believe that people who say "TLDR" on a forum are complete idiots, I honestly fonud myself thinking "TLDR" since... well... the title and first 3 lines are worded like you're whining and nobody really wants to read somebody who might just be outright whining like a child because the devs had the "nerve" to atleast try and improve the game.
I mean as much respect as I can but... that's just the impression it gives off.
As for my opinion that isn't just an outright rebuttal/reply to each point, aka an opinion based on the matter at hand which is what sucks about the 2.0 update...
I'd have to say that the camera can be a tiny bit bad in rooms as enemies, the crown, you, gold or food or anything can get in those corners and will be hard to spot near there, especially in Death Levels.
Also some doors in the new grunt area can be glitched that when it's rising, you can move backwards and you can literally get stuck away form the enemies. This can cause an Endless run that's going strong to suddenly end since you cannot progress at all.
I can say witohut a doubt that this update was a total upgrade for the game.
Also if you guys want competitive play, just do Endless for crying out loud. Leaderboards, they're 100% literally the same thing as Seasons, if not vastly better and with Colloseum being one arena challenge every day, it's just better than it was before.
Everything is just better, the way the camera works, the removal of the hub (Which, again, served no actual purpose) with more lobby functionality, enemies are tougher since masteries only buff gold instead of damage, health, speed, cooldown, etc, there's less difficulties meaning they all get used alot more often, not but specific people, but by everyone here and there.
Endless is my favorite part about 2.0. I'd rather we'd gotten it to begin with than to revert it now :D
When people complain about losing masteries, they're talking about the bonuses that the masteries used to grant. Now they give nothing but gold, which is useless to many of us.
I'm upset to see the hub gone.
I love people who defend clearly bad design. That's same if in an FPS you'd see 10 meters ahead of you, everything futher away would not be drawn but you'd still get shot by enemies you can't even see. Sure, it makes it harder, but the challenge should not come from a bad camera that doesn't show you where you're going. It's not just enemies that shoot, I sometimes get hit by melee enemies cause I couldn't see more than 2 meters ahead (seems to be worst when you're moving down a corridor).
Well I'm glad the developers disagree with you and made it less dark in the latest patch.
Nothing else to say here except that you're wrong. It's much closer to the ground most of the time. Sometimes (in large arena like rooms) it does zoom out to the distance it used to always be at.
Except games like Diablo are all about leveling up your character and getting better loot, both of which you can continue to do long after (technically forever) you have more gold than you can spend. Gauntled before slayer edition kinda had something similar with the mastery bonuses, though at a much lesser scale but at least there was something interesting to work towards to. Gold being the only reward you can get is a bit boring, especially when certain items (ring of mirrors) just seem to be much much better than anything else available. Why would I want to buy the relics that are much worse?
You call others trolls but here you say with a straight face that the menu music is not different, lol. I don't really have an opinion on whether the new music is better or worse, but saying it's not different is... weird. The menu has been partly consolified by having things like "press enter to join" or shift+enter to chat. Or having to press esc to switch to another character. Not a huge deal but things like that should be doable with mouse only (as it used to be before Slayer edition).
There used to be 3 different cosmetic items to mix (e.g. helmet, chestplate and pants for valkyrie), now there are 2. Kind of weird choice since now we can actually see the characters bit better with the camera being closed to the ground.
Funny how you are being so snide about this, when again you are wrong. Obviously everyone complaining about this are complaining about the removal of the mastery bonuses.
Yup, I've tried playing it multiple times since 2.0 and just cannot find any enjoyment.
Paragraph 4..The cameras great...are you for real? Possibly THE worst in game camera of the modern era.
I like the new weapons, they add variety to the classes.
The old masteries were just grinding for grindings sake.
The endless dungeon is awsome.
I wish only that this won't be the last update to this game and well see at least one more character, new weapons and armor (and different gameplay changes due to the different armor, not just aesthetics), new relics and amulets.
Oh yeah, I also started recording the game. Check it out if you guys have free time :D

They essentially killed off an entire facet of the game and made it feel (to me) like a crappy mobile game where everything is all about the gold.
The masteries providing little bonuses was really interesting and actually incentivised completing them. The new version? You may as well just pick up lots of gold, because it's not like doing the masteries gets you anything special.
