It is HD.
HD enough anyways, we have played it on a 200" screen and it looked great.
Did both the MAME arcade rendition and the GC version.
Time challenge of the arcade version is fun sometimes

I dont know if i would call it botched, it is fun enough.
may not be fun with randoms, i dont know?
I only play with people i know.
The fact that it will run on a potato and works totally offline is nice too
can run it on my crappy laptop with a handfull of cheap game pads.
We actually played it during hurricane helene and milton, cause there was no power let alone internet.
Maybe also Magicka because there are no more players around for online co-op and it seems fun although I've yet to play that one.
Thing with gauntlet is, you can only do so much before it isnt gauntlet, it is just something in gauntlet clothes, which wont help it because gauntlet fans wont be amused.
Better to do something new, that is inspired by gauntlet but is it's own thing.
Try gauntlet 1, gauntlet 2, and gauntlet legends or dark legacy in MAME.
There is a Playstation gauntlet title but it was not terribly popular.
