Need advice for the final boss.
He's all that stands between me and clearing the game on Hard, solo. I've probably lost to him over 50 times now. I'm trying desperately to get potions to do some real damage but none are showing up (and I'm told there ARE a few in this fight). The food more often than not ends up getting destroyed because of a stray swing when he teleports, I can't get enough tokens to keep up with spendature, and once the orcs show up I get completely overwhelmed. The big ones knock me around, often right into sword slams which kill me outright.

I don't know what else I can do. I just want to beat this guy so I can say I cleared the game on Hard (solo), I just want to retire this guy so I can focus on Endless mode, but he's just not giving me a fair chance. Endless 37 is easier then this.

What more can I do here? What am I missing that will swing this fight in my favor, make it not so overwhelmingly insurmountable?

Valkyrie: Final Justice, Mark of the Commander, Ring of Mirrors.
I also have Divine Aegis, all other weapons, Boots of Radaman and Freeze Ring available to me.

The person who told you about potions in the fight against Morak trolled you. Sorry! Here are some tips:
- This should be obvious but, don't step on the circular marks on the floor!
- ALWAYS focus on the monsters, NOT Morak! The battle is made so that Morak won't go away from his vulnerable form until he receives enough damage.
- Now the floating sword, the attack that takes the most health in the fight: this attack is predictable and normaly you can just keep walking to avoid getting hurt. Since you are using Valkyrie, she can block this attack as long as her shield is facing the center of the orange circle on the floor. Still, be careful as the block will push Valkyrie away (not damage to your health tough) and while she is recovering, a 2nd attack will hit you. So try to walk away first and block as a last resource.
- Still on the topic of the sword: when you are hitting Morak, you'll see the sword floating near you. Keep and eye on it since it can attack again and also wherever the sword was when Morak returns to his invincible mode, that's where the food will show up. If you see that the sword is way too close for comfort, before hitting Morak walk away to make the sword follow you away from Morak (this also prevents you from accidentaly killing the food).
- During the 1st wave, your worst enemy are the Big Mummies. DO NOT MELEE! Use Spear Thrust until dead. If surrounded, use your weapon skill. Skill not ready? Just walk (don't block) until ready.
- I don't have a solid good tip for the 2nd wave. Your worst enemies are now the club wielding orcs. You can kill them using your Spear Thrust repeatedly but they tend to run-attack when they received enough damage and mix in the little minions with the shamans and their green fireballs and the whole thing is a mess. Good luck! :)
- The 3rd wave is the one where Valkyrie shines: deal with flying demons by simply returning them back their own fire and well, attack the cultist before they finish their "curse" attack. When this wave starts, stay near a dark pot until you see the enemies come out and use you weapon skill. If you did it correctly, you should have killed all the demons and the cultist leaving only the flying demon. At this point, you either keep attacking the remaing demon or chase after the 3rd dark pot (you won't have time for the 2nd pot). This should leave a lot less enemies in the screen.
- The trick to survive is to rely on your weapon skill, not your shield. So, instead of blocking until you see an opening, it's better to walk and "kite" the enemies chasing you until your skill is ready.
Good luck! :D

YES! THANK YOU FOR THAT! Two hours later and Morak is dust. The trick with the Orcs was to always cut sharply around their side when they charged for a punch. The Cultist phase was way worse, when you have to deal with Death Mark, reflect gargoyle shots, not get surrounded AND dodge the sword slam when Morak becomes vulnerable, sometimes you just can't deal with it all. It was close, but I got the prize.

Time to finish cloaks, mastery, and start seriously working on Endless.

When Elf and Wizard controls like butt? No thank you. Warrior maybe, but Elf/Wizard controls suck the big one (I use a joystick).
