Now as for your particular question: The Destructo-Spin .. yes! this attack does leave Thor vulnerable when it finishes. Some people combine it with the ice ring so that they can use the ring at the end of the attack and be safe... but that just dumb as the ring and the destructo-spin don't have the same cool down and the ring won't be ready for the next time your skill is ready.
As for the relic... since Thor best potion skill is The Price (the one that makes Thor a giant), you have to get used to take the Ranadam Boots with him, specially in Endless. The boots is THE RELIC for Thor! Not only you get to abuse of your weapon skill if you use the Cleave (while the boots are active, the cool down cuts in half!) but also the boots negate the negative effects of the potion skill! Thor is usually slow when a potion is used but follow that with the boots and now he's just super fast AND STILL A GIANT! You can decimate tons of enemies with this combo! and if you use it for summoning stones, you at least can destroy 2 stones for sure! (if soloing, and the stones are close, even 3!). Now go and exterminate the minions from hell with Thor! :D
Also, I love my Ring of Mirrors, even on Valkyrie.
Ring of Mirrors also seems to pair better with Destructo-Spin. True, it can't really be used as a crutch because of the long cooldown, but if you drop the summons just as your spin ends, all the enemies around you will have something else to focus on and you can escape until the next opportunity opens up. For that reason I tend to save it for when my spin lands me in a horde of enemies or I'm surrounded while smashing a summoning stone, drop it so I have some cover, then make my escape. It works well for the most part.
Still, I don't know about the Warrior. I'm trying to play him like he's the tanky meat shield that sits still and holds the line beating face endlessly (he DOES have the most HP, after all). I DON'T like playing "hit and run." I can't just run around the map constantly waiting for cooldowns, not getting into the thick of battle. I just can't play that way. I won't.
Well, if YOU say I play an okay warrior, I'll take your word for it. I just need to practice then.
With this set-up its easy to kill hordes... just don't give your back away, attack only if the enemies are in a 150 º degree of your character POV, so they dont go to your back when you are attacking. :D
Maybe i will try the Boots of Random, but that means im alone.
I like both builds, to be honest:
Destructo-Spin
More of Thor
Ring of Mirrors
Demonic Cleave
More of Thor
Boots of Ranadam
They're both good at different things. DS-MoT-RoM is better for survival, DC-MoT-BoR is better for general play.
