Best DLC for a noob
So, I bought HoI3 because I wanted to get back to my roots (RTS) and I have a lot of patience. I knew what I was getting into however, from what I understand there are 3 major DLC add-ons (FTM, SF, TFH) for this game. I only want to purchase one which would help me out a little as a totally new player to the game and "massive RTS" genre. Suggestions?

TFH isnt an option as it requires the other two but i would reccomend FTM

FTM? why that over SF?

it just adds better stuff in MY opinion but its really just down to youre preference, just look at them and pick wich is right for you.

Do one of the DLCs add some simplicity, better AI, or control?

I agree, that kind of help would be useful! (extreme noob = 4.5hrs playtime)

Content wise, Semper Fi adds the most and more significant content. But as a noob, you are probably best just sticking with the base game. Learn that and then add the e3xpansions in the order they came out (SF, FTM & TFH), as they all added and changed a lot of stuff and it's a complex game to learn as it is. I bought the lot and tried learning them all together and that meant a hell of a lot of reading. More than any other game I've ever played apart from the high end flight sims!

I think that SF is required for FTM.

When i was a noob (i feel old now), i bought FTM and SF as a pack on sale.
Use Arcade mode+very easy to learn how units move and how to organize your troops.

I still play on Arcade, since i think supply lines are annoying, ESPECIALLY if you are learning how to play the game.

Thanks PhoenixLord96. I have played a couple hours def focusing on one aspect at a time, currently combat and a little diplomacy. Do SF and FTM help with that? I like the idea of theatre specificity.
